Your mower may just be over heated. This is commron, make sure there is no dabris around the cyl inder head fins if leaves or grass get in there it will not be able to cool properly. your mower may have an air vaine on it that comes from the carb and directs air to these fins. it governs the machine if any of these parts are bent or not working properly this to will cause the mower to over heat and not start back up. Finally you may want to go and by a spark plug that is for high heat and will remove heat better than a cooler plug . good luck

SOURCE: will not stay started Runs for about 1 minute

fuel issue. probably has junk in the carb bowl that gets sucked up when the machine start. You might be able to get away with just taking the bowl off and dumping it out (you will see it there is junk in there. then dump out the gas thats in it and put fresh gas in. Ideally you should clean up your carb which is not that difficult. an air compressor on very low pressure will provide some assistance (10-20 PSI)

SOURCE: lawn mower runs well from cold but if stopped won't start

Sounds like it's running rich. If the mixture is slightly rich it will start well when cold, but when hot it floods. Check the air cleaner to be sure it's not clogged/blocked. Get a new plug for it and if this happens again just install the new plug - the new plug won't be fouled with fuel. If it started with the new plug then you're on your way to a carb adjustment (that is if the air filter/cleaner is clean)

My Briggs & Stratton Quantum 65 starts perfectly from cold but refuses to re-start when hot. Any ideas?

Do a compression check when cold, then again when hot. Sounds like when its hot your losing compression. If this is the case, it won't want to start when hot. Compression should be above 60 lbs. Thats where i would start. I hope this is of some help to you.

MOWER RUNS FIVE MINUTES THEN STOP AFTER IT WARMS UP

Check your automatic choke ... a cold mower needs more choke, and the auto-choke should release when the motor warms and runs smoothly. If the choke is sticking, the motor will die when it gets warmed up, then start again after it cools down.

LAWN BOY MOWER WILL NOT START WHEN HOT. WHY? STARTS FINE WHEN FIRST STARTED.

Hello PANDJ4952, Check your oil level first. If low or a dark color it needs changing. I suggest you change spark plug and air filter too. With the engine cold clean the fins around the spark plug location of caked up mud or clogs of grass including under the mower where the blade rotates. Please let me know of the results.
