I have a very old rancilio miss audrey that makes very good coffee, however I have a serious problem concerning the steam valve.
How can I disassemble the rancilio audrey steam valve in order to fix a leaking problem. The valve is constantly leaking water during the coffee making process, which causes a diminishing pressure. I think it has to do with a small rubber ring in the valve, but I am not sure how to fix it.
Which part of the valve has to be loosened first?
Thanks,
Ilona Scharree from Amsterdam
you should take out the knob first, than you try to disasembke the SHAFT of valve from the valve body, in this types(small espresso coffe machines) usualy producer use conical valve, without seals she close metal to metal, when you get out the SHAFT you will see one line on the conical end. for repairing it will be enough to visit one metal vorkery where they will take a small amount of brass from end and polish it. then you put it back and work again with your machine.
ps: notice you only polish the SHAFT , dont let them to short the more than 0.5 mm

Hi, I was given an old rancilio espresso Machine, I don't know the name of the model. It's mainly white and black, there are three orange buttons on the upper right (power, steam, infusion). Over these buttons stands the steam controller. How do you pump back water in the infusion reservoir?

Thats the round machine, I'm going to repaint the metal and its a good opportunity to replaced the switches. Paint and switches are only sign of wear, but I have a spare boiler. PS Last year I restored my 66 vw van, I've been down the road on restorations. Still have the original engine running in the shop w 300K miles. The van has a 2Ltr 914 engine now. I'm hoping the Rancilio will do as well.
