Why is there No steam from morphy Richards 42247 model steam generator?

It may be calcified or have lime scale. If the heater is "gummed up", it cannot heat properly. Try using either vinegar (takes longer) or an iron cleaner. You pour it in and it breaks up the scale. CLR works quite well too. Use pipe cleaners to clear out the holes in the sole plate.

Gravity feed steam iron

If you have been using tap water in your iron, and your water has lime or calcium in it, then the iron is probably clogged up. You might try using a product like "Lime Away". Read the warnings on the bottle first. Don't get it on your skin or in your eyes. Don't breathe the mist or steam. The bottle I looked at also had warnings about how it would mess up some counter tops or sinks. But if the iron doesn't work anyway, carefully pour some into your iron maybe about one fourth full, then carefully shake the iron to get the stuff all over the insides of the iron holding the iron like you would if you were ironing. Let the iron sit for a bit, then shake it again, maybe a couple more times like that. pour it out into an old bowl that it wont ruin, and see if there are a lot of minerals in the liquid. If there are, that may have cleaned it enough to start working again. Pour enough water in the iron until it is half full, plug it in and turn the temperature up to where it will produce steam, but don't iron any clothes yet because there is still cleaner in the iron. turn the iron so it is like you are ironing, but don't let it touch anything. Hold it over something like some old rags. If steam comes out, don't breathe it, but let it come out for a little while. Pour out that water and refill with fresh water and let it steam over the rags again. Pour that water out and all the chemicals should be flushed out of the iron. Carefully wipe the hot plate off to get any chemicals off the plate. Good Luck

My steam cleaner was working, then when i refilled it, it didnt heat up. its a multipurpose with different attachments. could it be element gone?

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
Clean an iron:
  1. Unplug the iron and make sure it is cool before cleaning.
  2. Use a toothpick or pipe cleaner to remove buildup in the steam vents, making sure the debris doesn't fall into the vents.
  3. Use a fine sewing needle to carefully clean the spray nozzle of mineral deposits.
  4. To flush sediment from a steam iron, pour 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup vinegar into the water tank. Place the iron on a rack over a broiling pan and set the iron to steam until the tank runs dry. Repeat if necessary. Or follow the instructions for using a commercial iron cleaner.
Service the steam and spray mechanism:
  1. Unplug the iron.
  2. Use a fine sewing needle to unclog the steam valve assembly. Also, check the valve spring and replace it if it is broken or has lost tension.
  3. If the spray pump is accessible, remove it and check for leaks by placing the spray tube in water and squirting the pump. Clean or replace as needed.
Clean a metal soleplate:
  1. Unplug the iron.
  2. Use a sponge and commercial soleplate cleaner or baking soda and water to remove dirt buildup on the soleplate. Rinse well with water and dry. Don't use harsh abrasives or immerse an electric iron in water.
  3. Use very fine steel wool (0000) or an emery cloth to remove scratches and burns on the soleplate, then clean the soleplate.

How to flush brown fluid from Sunbeam Steam Master steam jets and increase steam shooting?

There is commercial iron cleaner, but you can use white vinegar and distilled water to flush it. I would use a mixture of half and half. Then let it steam its little self, when it is clear, rinse with the distilled water again, This kind of thing happens when you use tap water and let it sit in it without rinsing after using. I always use distilled water and empty right away after use. Good luck

LOW WATER LIGHT stays on when water tank is full and no steam is produced.

Check the steam holes at bottom to see if holes is pluged with caculm build up that plug holes. To clean holes us calcum cleaner. Use decression . Use distalled water. Not tap water. There is probably a float inside of tank. Deposit calcum probably has stuck it. This is dependent on the brand and how old it is.

Cleaning the bottom of my rowenta irom.

Wad up a large piece of wax paper, turn off your steam and "iron" the ball of wax paper. The gunk comes right off the iron and sticks to the wax paper.

Conair steam cleaner sc20 - plugged in, pushed button, no steam

If you need instructions go to www.HandBookLive.com. There are videos for GS4 and GS10 under Appliances category. It says that steam is produced in about 5-6 minutes after you turn power on. Also there is a low water indicator light on GS10 that kills power to teh unit if the water level is low. Maybe that's the problem... Not sure if sc20 is similar
