The best (easiest) way to test the fuel pump is to turn the engine over and then remove a spark plug to check if it is wet. If this doesn't help you might like to ask again in the correct section (Cars) as opposed to the motorcycle section. You are more likely to get a quick and relevant answer.

My 1998 ford f150 xlt 4x4 V8, engine turns over but will not start, I think the fuel pump fuse is bad,or the reset switch malfunctioned . Any suggestions

What makes you think fuel pump fuse is bad or the reset switch ? ( inertia fuel cut off switch ) Did you test for B+ volt or are you guessing ? Buy yourself DVOM - digital volt ohm meter an test the fuel pump electrical circuit ! Besides fuel there is also an ignition system , is there spark ? There are some good videos on youtube on trouble shooting these systems , also on how to read a wiring diagram ! An you can view wiring diagrams for free at http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html also check out video on basic electrical systems testing ! Remember, test don't guess !!!!!

How to check circuit 1998 nissan frontier fuel tank tempertur sensor

I assume you mean "P0180" not "p180", which is not a valid OBD Diagnostic Test Code.

So you replaced the fuel pump module without even diagnosing this code??? WOW! That was an EXPENSIVE mistake!

You pretty much answered your own question. The wires are located between the fuel pump module (Tank Fuel Temperature "TFT" sensor), the PCM and the ground point for the sensor.

Connector pins "T" and "E" at the fuel pump module connector are the wires for the TFT sensor

I am told the fuel pump needs replaced on my 1998 F150. I am also told the cost will be $750.00. is this reasonable?

That sounds like about the going rate. The fuel tank has to be drained and removed from the vehicle to replace the fuel pump module which, according to Autozone.com costs right around $200. (the shop will have to mark this up about 40% to 50% to make a profit...after all. that is what they are in business for.) So you can figure 2-1/2 to 3 hours of labor + Parts + parts mark-up. Where I work, this will come out to about $760.00

New fuel pump and secondary fuel mod and still won't staart ( no fuel )

Not sure what secondary fuel mod you are posting about, can you explain what this is ?
Have you checked the fuel inertia switch in the passenger side kick panel ?
Is this a 2004 New Body style or 2004 Heritage / Lightning ?
If it is a New body style, have you checked / replaced the fuel pump driver module ? This is on the cross member by the spare tire, and some times they get corroded and crack.

The fuel pump is powered from the Fuel pump relay ( non serviceable in the Cab fuse panel ) to the fuel inertia switch to the fuel pump driver module. The PCM is also connected to the fuel pump driver module
The fuel pump relay normally open contact is powered by Fuse #34 ( this fuse also feeds the PCM ). The fuel pump relay coil is powered by the PCM power relay.
If you are testing and the truck has not started, the PCM will shut off the Fuel pump after 5 seconds ( 8 ? ) of not having started. The only way to clear this is to have the truck start, or disconnect the battery.
Have you tested the fuel pressure on the fuel rail ?

Don't have voltage in the fuel pump conector of my 1990 FORD F150? Fuel pump is OK.

Have you checked the fuel pump relay?and you know the fuel pump relay cuts off after about 2 seconds when turning the key on?So be sure the test light you are using is attached when turning the key on,it will come on,and then go off in about 2 seconds. The problem maybe the ignition module,or the pick up coil, the pulse the injectors, that deleiver the fuel to the cylinders.
