SOURCE: CHEF EBC5231W*53 OVEN.overcooks food underneath

Did you per chance put the food on a plate that pretty much is as big as the oven? If you did, you trapped all the heat from the baking element under the food. Please check that first.

they probably only need to be cleaned,or the door cleaned, open the door 10 inches and lift the door off and you can inspect them.

Door will not close completly

When you say "oven door will not close properly", do you mean that it closes but not tightly against the rubber seal on the oven cavity?

Or is it some other closing problem?

If it is the former, then it is a sign of the door hinge springs wearing out. The solution to this is to replace both hinges on the offending door.

Unlock oven door

The oven model 9815 shows you have a mecahnical latch. this latch has a switch that tells the control board what position it is in (open or closed). This switch should be tested.

The upper oven door dosen't shut tight.

Door not closing properly is normally due to weak door hinges.
Normal procedure is to replace both the hinges.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
