SOURCE: Zebra TLP 2844 printing landscape instead of portrait.

To change from "page mode" (protrait) to "line mode" (landscape) you need to complete the following steps.
1. turn the power off
2. hold the feed button down
3. turn power on, the feed button should blink, release the button.
4. when the feed button blinks green, press and hold until it turns red or amber. release the button.
5. turn the power off.
6. hold down the feed button and turn power on, the button should blink and release. it will now print a calibration page. 4 blanks followerd by 2 text pages, the last saying "Now in DUMP" press feed to exit. on the first print, the 4th line down will say either page mode or line mode.

Why is my printer printing in landscape mode when it is set to portrait mode?

Click File, Print, Then open the printer properties and make sure it is set to portrait. Also if you are working in MS office make sure to check the orientation tab. The document orientation tab overides the printer settings

Print result sideways

It sounds like your printer is set to print landscape, instead of portrait mode. Next time you want to print, click on file(top left of screen), then print (don't just click on the little printer icon). This will open a new printer window where you can choose different setting. The option to change from landscape to portrait will be listed somewhere in that window. Once you have selected that feature and print it will stay that way unless you change it. You will have to check this setting in each computer program you use.

How so I do Landscape orientation on Canon Pixma MP500?

When you want to print a document Click on File (at top left hand corner of screen) - click on Print then click on Properties box - Layout tab then select Landscape.
The printer normally defaults to Portrait but sometimes you want to print Landscape. Use this method when you need to print in landscape mode.

How to print landscape wirh canon mp520 i select landscape in printer set up but prints portrait

You have to set landscape in the printer settings on the computer not just the printer. It varies depending on which program you are using. For example microsoft word you would hit format->page settings landscape.

Can't get it to print landscape in microsoft word

If the printer is set up to over-ride program settings then your Word settings for a landscape print will be ignored. To fix this, go to your Printer Settings (accessible from Word's Print window) and look for a paper settings option that will allow the printer to either use the print settings from Word, or set the printer to always print in landscape. If you go with the second option just remember that next time you want to print portrait pages you'll have to revert this setting from landscape to portrait.

A word document that is showing portrait orientation in print preview is printing in landscape orientation

You need to change the orientation in the printers screen.
Start>Control Panel>Printers
Select your printer
Properties>General>Printer Preferences>Page Setup
Click on Portrait>OK
Your printout should now be in Portrait mode.

I need to flip my text to print on a transfer for a t-shirt

You want to flip the text? Do you mean you want the text to display 90 degrees from normal portrait mode into landscape?

If so, when you select a document to print a window should pop up with options to select number of copies, etc. Take note of a pull down menu with portrait, and landscape options.

Use landscape to print your job with the text in this mode.

If you want this set as the default option you can set this in your print settings in the computer.
Open your printer settings in control panel, (assuming you use windows) select the printer with right click, and choose properties. There should be an item labelled document preferences. In this you can select a between Portrait and landscape. Hope this helps.
