When I turn on my computer the monitor turns on for about 3-5 seconds and then goes black. The blue light stays on and does not blink. If I turn the monitor off then back on it will again show the screen...

Had same problem, Monitor first turn on, backlight off after couple of minutes, off/on backlight off after few seconds.
Solution cut J503.
Found voltage OVPT (IC501,7) quite low (1.6V) this is the reference value for VSEN the over voltage value. By cutting J503, OVPT becomes 4.5 volt but is not depending anymore on the current through the lamps. Instead of the link J503 I solder 2x 1N4148 diodes which makes the OVPT not go below 2,8 volt. (diodes in series, cathode points to nearest board edge)

Omniquest Q9B monitor, Diode Identification

You need to get a service manual, this has all servicing information, including, the schematic diagram too, this will have values, for all components.
It could be a Zener, of almost any voltage, within a range, or a shottkey diode, a signal diode, or a flywheel diode.

vry critical....
however look mainly for the smps section..the fuse, bridge, ic (dp104c) & hot (c5404), high value resistances, diodes, opto-coupler ic, ntc, switching transistors n other associative the final anode cap carefuly n thoroughly clean with a cotton dapped/soaked in iso-propyl alcohol, also clean the souldered side of the pcb(s), if necessary look for dry soulder n re-soulder them..beware u must b a professional

Yuraku LCD TFT Monitor MA7BBA Wont power up

I've had the diods problem on such a monitor recently. To fix it I had to change the fuse and two 1N4007 diods as you can see on the following page:

You will notice I mounted the replacement diods on the solder side ( second hand components with too short leads) and that only 3 diod locations are seen on the component side; the fourth is hidden under the transformer on the top side.

Hope this can still be of any help.

Normally, the polarity is molded next to the connecter hole; it may not be real easy to see.
If you have a digital multimeter with a 'diode' position, most devices have a diode internally installed to prevent damage in case of a bad substitution and the meter will show a value of somewhere between 500-800, typical would be in the mid-600s.
If you find that, then the meter is currently causing the internal protective diode to conduct as it would if the WRONG polarity would be applied and most meters will supply a positive voltage to the red lead for diode function.
Commonly, the center is the positive contact but this sure isn't certain.

No power

check your horizontal output..if its ok check the regulator, diodes if shorted change it with disame value or part number. try to measure the B+ make sure that is more than 200V DC.
