Question about Canon MultiPASS C70 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Ink flow is not good from cartdrige

We are using canon multipass C70. even I replaced the new cartdridge in my fax machine, it seems to be problem with fax. after receiving fax, some of the line is printed properly. some of the line is printed as dull colour or not printed. please explain how to troubleshoot?

Sometime the head printer gets clog so what you have to do is go to maintance and there should be a program that will clean your heads on you printer then run a test run with you printer.willie

I have a Canon MultiPass C555 InkJet Printer for my fax machine in the church office. I don't know how old the machine is. Whenever I receive a fax I cannot read it. I even change the ink and I still...


These machines have an integrated printhead built into the printer. The only way to try to fix this issue is to run the cleaning function anywhere from 3-7 times. First, remove the ink cartridges and depress the sponge side onto a paper towel. If you see ink on the towel, proceed to the next step. If no ink is present, replace the ink cartridges. They can be found for very cheap on this model. Next step, depends on whether or not the machine is hooked up to a computer or is just a stand alone fax machne. If it is not hooked up to a computer, go to the menu, scroll to maintainence and select clean cartridges. You will need to do this multiple times. Continue to do it if you see improvement, until you are satisfied with the print quality. You an also perform the cleaning from a computer. Locate the printer in the printer folder and right click on it. Select properties. At the bottom of that window, select preferences. Then select the maintainence tab, and select clean cartridges. Again, you will need to do this multiple times. Please advise if you need further help, or if this does not work and you would like info on current fax machines.

These isnt laser copier, you probably refer to scaner assy... but never mind.. lets solve your problem!

First, new inks are reffiled or original?
Remove inks and look for small hole, ussually on top of crg. and blow in it verry hard.After that from crg. must start to drop ink. Put the ink back in and try to copy/print something.Also run head cleaning for few times.

If now it works that could mean two things:
1) the ink was for long time on warehouse, and nozzles are clodged.
2) your purge unit is faulty and it cant drain ink from crg.Replace purge unit, wich isnt cheap solution.
Or,... buy new LASER Canon multifunctional copier that uses TONER.

I had a similar problem (error Code:2,140,2) in Canon PIXMA MP250 all-in-one, and it was solved when I replaced both ink cartridges which were in low ink (almost without ink). I know an scanner problem is not supposed to be in relation with ink or printer problems, but that's the way I've fixed it. Good luck!

If you do not have the software, you need to download the software from one of the following locations:

Official Canon Drivers and Software

Canon USA:DRIVER & DOWNLOADS

After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded.
The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.

Not printing at all


This might sound a little obvious, but I've seen it before. But did you peel off the plastic covering from the cartridge before you installed it?
