These things are really complicated to get 1080i out of.Most of the time they will only produce 720..Its just one of denons way of making you by there most exspensive.I had the same amp and the same problem.I ask a service person at Denon and all they said is the best thing I can tell you is to up grade.So I went to Onkyo and there cheapest version was more powerful and pass and converted everything to 1080.Hope this helps you and have a great day..
