Re: blocked drum

Maybe that a sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub and holds the drum. Check the outer tub port- open the washer's main access panel and remove the large diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, try to remove the clothing through the port. Good luck !

Change belt

hello remove the back pannel from yr washing machine, slacken the three mounting bolts on the motor, remove the old belt, put the new belt on to the motors pulley first , this is the shaft that comes out of the motor , then on to the large pulley mounted on to the back of your drum, feeding it on and turning the drum at the same time will make your job easy.when this is done press down on the motor to take up any slack and tighten the three mounting bolts back up.
hope this helps

Instructions on how to replace belt on WF000 1000 spin washing machine

Changing the belt is easy. The reason for changing the belt is the question. If the belt keeps coming off on an aquaruis then it's usually a sign the bearings in the drum are shot. These things hardly ever need a new belt. That aside, I hope you have good reason to change the belt and there is the (Easy) way to do it.

Take the lid off. On this model I think you will fins a screw, hidden behind a little plastic prise-off cover, on either side of the lid about 2 inches back from the front of the machine.

Unscrew (Torque screws!!! but you MAY get away with a flat screwdriver that fits across the points of the star holes).

With the heel of your hand, strike the top front edge of the lid to make it slip baccwards about a half inch, this releases the clips that hold the back of the lid in place.

At the rear of the machine, at the bottom, there is an oval pannel about a foot wide and six inches deep held on by about 5 or 6 screws. Unscrew and remove the pannel. You can now see the drive spindle on the end of the motor.
Drop the new belt in from the top and hook over the drive spindle (you can see the position the old one was in on the slotted spindle because that portion of the spindle will be cleaner and shinier than the rest.
Now, holding part of the belt, guide it onto the main drum drive wheel (that huge wheel about 2 feet wide.
By turning the drum by hand slowly, you will be able to guide the belt onto the large wheel as you rotate the drum.

Having someone spin the drum by opening the door and turning it for you slowly may help

ALWAYS start with the belt on the motor spindle and guide onto the drum wheel, not the other way. You will never get it on if you start with it on the big wheel.

Unless you know the reason for swapping the belt, start worrying.... Occasionally these belts snap. Usually there is an underlying cause if they just "slip off"

Am trying to replace the belt on a hotpoint aquarius wf240 washing machine. I have removed the 2 bolts which appear to hold the motor in place ( 1 bolt on each side). However the motor still will not

Hi. The motor is non adjustable on this washer. Tilt washer forward, get someone to hold it steady, and put belt round motor pulley first, then slip belt on drum pulley, and slowly turn drum by hand, feeding the belt on as you turn drum, be careful not to trap fingers, as it is very tight, this is normal, as the belt is a stretch type, this is the reason the motor is non adjustable. Please rate my advice. Thanks.

I need to replace the seal round the door but cannot remove the old one

Take the top panel off by removing the two screws underneath the lid at the rear and look down inside towards the front door edge of the drum you will see a very large metal hose clips holds the door seal on. A screwdriver will loosen the clip then the clip will slip off and then the seal can be removed and replaced

WFC 2260 - Machine Fills and empties, but drum doesn't rotate

You probably need to replace the brushes in the motor.
Remove rear panel, remove belt from drum, undo 2 screws securing motor, unplug lead to motor, lever motor back with a screw driver, keeping hold of it, and remove motor.
You will find the brushes located at the opposite end to the motor pulley.
Please leave a fixya rating for my proposed solution.

Kenmore dryer

Are you getting heat and can you hear the motor running? If so then you've just had a belt snap. It's a pretty easy fix. You just gain access to the dryer through the back. Remove the several screws that hold the back pannel in place. You will most likely see the broken belt as soon as you remove the panel.

A new belt is very inexpensive! Good luck!

Spinning problem

I believe there is either a loose pulley or on the other side of the pulley spindle is a spoke assembly that holds the basket on is broken. If you see water leaking at the spindle you have bearing and seals that have faulted. Either one of the last two are expensive to fix, if you have a home warranty that blankets your appliances with a deductible I would recomend getting a tech out to fix those problems.

Washin Machine Spinning Problem

The main tub bearing is stuffed, thus the noise. The spindle becomes loose and the belt rides off. Bearings can be replaced.
Hope that helps.

Bearing noise

Hi there im the wash docotor. With your zanussis once you have removed the back half of the pannel and the top pannel. you will have to then detach the motor wire plug. then the heater wires and also the there is a sensoer on the side of the drum that also has a wiring connection. Also detactch the earth wires Then here come the tricky part. if you look on the top of the drum you have a rubber pipe connected to it comming from the washer draw detach that its easy. Then you have to dicconect the door seal from the front of the machine by the door (do not dissconect from the seal from the drum as you dont have to . Then disconnect the the drain hose. once this is all done you have to disconnect the legs, from the drum side. these are easily done as the pegs come out easily if you push in the pips from one side you can either knock them out with a hammer but it is best to pull em out with either some long bent nose pliers or gripping em in such a way with a monkey ranch Best way og getting the drum out is once you have done all that is to turn the machine onto its back and lifting the casing off leaving the drum on the floor.
