Hi,

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

goodluck!

SOURCE: how do i get the radio started? I am going insane - mine is a tangent alio?

Here is the link to a user manual for a tangent Alio radio. I am not sure it corresponds to your model (you do not say).

Here is also a screen capture from the manual linked to above.

Make sure your calculator is set to the desired angular mode.

The quotient of 120 divided by the tangent of 68 radians is about -58.82, as your calculator is giving you.

The quotient of 120 divided by the tangent of 68 degrees is about 48.48 . The quotient of 120 divided by the tangent of 68 grads is about 65.97 .

The tangent of 60 radians is about 0.32, while the tangent of 60 degrees is about 1.73. To change the angular mode, press SHIFT [SETUP], down-arrow to the "ANGLE" line and then press the function key corresponding to the desired mode.

If you're getting -3.38 then you've just computed the tangent of 5 radians. If you want to do calculations in degrees then change the calculator's angular mode to degrees.

You can see on the images below graphs of the function **y=tan x** and **y=arc tan x** and calculations for your problem

**y=tan x**

y=arc tan x

y=arc tan x

No, you don't need a new calculator. Yours simply has the angular mode set to grads. The inverse tangent of 1 is 50 grads, the inverse tangent of sqrt(3) is 66.6... grads.

To change the angular mode, press MODE one or more times until you get the display "Deg Rad Gra". Select the mode you want (from the results you're expecting, it's 1 for Deg).

There is no Inverse Cotangent on the Calculator, but you have Inverse Tangent.

Cotangent is just the reciprocal of tangent.

Just inverse the fraction and use inverse tangent to get its cotangent. Hope this helps.

You'll have to buy the game from Wild Tangent. If you lost the unlock code, contact Wild Tangent.

To find the tangent of an angle:

To find the inverse tangent:

this will give you the angle that yields that tangent value.

You might have to switch your calculator from radian to degrees or from degrees to radians to get the expected result. To do that:

Good luck

- input TAN (it's up one and left one from the division key)
- then the desired angle
- then a close parenthesis
- And then hit ENTER

To find the inverse tangent:

- Press 2nd
- Press TAN (TAN-1)
- Enter the desired tangent value
- close parenthesis
- hit enter

this will give you the angle that yields that tangent value.

You might have to switch your calculator from radian to degrees or from degrees to radians to get the expected result. To do that:

- Press MODE
- Scroll down to where it says ANGLE
- change it from either RAD or DEG

Good luck
