I have the Acer S2W 3300u scanner and although I
I have the Acer S2W 3300u scanner and although I installed the drivers for Windows XP, it shows the error message "EXE application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" And then it prompts to send the error report to Microsoft. The scanner used to work properly so far. Do you know what might the problem be?

I have the same scanner and the drivers that came with the scanner don't work. Windows XP uses a generic twain driver that works, also most pictures viewer like XnView or Picasa uses the same. I'm using one called Wia-flatScanner_21 1.0(32-32).
