SOURCE: lenovo bios password

Hi,

I found a homepage with a load of Backdoor passwords, - one of them will bypass you forgotten BIOS password. If you dont know your type, you´ll have to try them all out, or untill you hit the right one:

Flash bios lenovo 3099-1uu

It sounds like your hard drive may have failed. I would suggest the following to confirm.
  • At the splash screen, press F1 for BIOS Setup Utility.
  • Ensure that you see HDD and that it has a device id next to it
If you can see it, then you may have an operating system boot issue. If you cant see it then it might be an idea to remove the HDD and re-seat it. There may also be a setting in the bios for booting from an older operating systems such as XP. I think it might be a setting similar to "Boot mode set to UEFI" etc.

Another good tool to check hardware and get a device booting that may be missing the boot files etc, is to use an application called HIRENS. It can be put onto a USB stick. You can also do a hard drive test with it
The link is https://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd-on-usb-disk

To be honest I don't believe a bios update will do anything for you. But you could try loading the default settings etc.
I hope this helps

My monitor wont work

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LED flashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

Ow to install Windows 7 again over administrator rights blocking everything?

Try booting up your laptop with the Windows 7 installation CD to install Windows 7 again.
If you cannot get the laptop to boot up with the Windows Cd then go into the BIOS setting and make the CD drive the first boot device and the hard drive the 2nd boot device.

you have several possible problems :
motherboard problem or hd problem, i need to know what shows on the screen , but in the mean while , take the battery of the place and the power adapter and press the power button for at least 15 seconds, then without the battery, only with the power adapter try to reboot, if that doesn't work take the memory of and the hard drive also and repeat the procedures, if nothing of this helps, you need to replace the motherboard
