I have a set of Polk Audio AMR1 computer speakers that originally came with a subwoofer which I no longer have. Is there a way to plug the speakers into my Dell Demsion 4400 computer without the subwoofer? The back of the small main small speaker says Left Speaker Output, Subwoofer Output and Input signal, and I have plugs for these. What I don't have is the plug that says 13.5 VDC which may have been where the subwoofer should go. Anyway to hook up them up directly into the computer without the subwoofer?

My speakers do not work with the internet, but they work fine with CDs and DVDs. When I turn the volume all the way up, the subwoofer will make just a little bit of noise. There is another computer in the house that is doing the same thing, they share an internet provider. The thing I don't understand is that sometimes one will work, and the other one never works.

speakers work great with pc applications but I can't get them to play audio from pc line-in -- the line -in is good (I can record the audio and it works , I can play the recorded audio back and the speakers are fine -- but it won't play through the speakers while I'm recording or when I'm not recording -- audio signal can be heard from speaker jack but not through speakers which, of course, are connected through usb port
