Question about Saws

Open Question

I have an old jig saw (Tesco/power force cc750js) with no instructions. I can't fit a blade and don't know if it is broken - do you know where I can get a manual or see how it is supposed to fit?

Take a look at the point of blade locking to the tool. Should be 2 hexagon bolts. Using the right size tool, unscrew them carefylly, pull out the broken blade, go to your local hardware store, and get a new one that will have the same size on the tail. ( the side that gets inside the slide on the saw). Slide the new blade to the saw, and tighten the bolts back but do it equally twisting them in turns, half a turn each time to keep the blade staying straight.
Whole thing should last no more than 5 min. ( Remember to keep the power cable unplugged all the time you make the change. Your fingers are priceless).

How do I remove the blade that is stuck from a Craftsman jig saw with the easy release?

Hi Tom:
Don't know what caused it to get stuck, but my old Craftsman just has a spring loaded metal tab that holds the blade in place. Have you tried using a screw driver to gently pry the release? It shouldn't require brute force but a bit of gentle persuasion shouldn't hurt.

What type of blade does the McKeller MCK07 jigsaw take. My old blade has broken and has been lost. I can't remember if it was the "U" shank or the "T" shank fitting. Does anyone know which I need?

Sir, When I saw this question, it appears, you have been almost everywhere to try and solve a direct fit or even an indirect I have followed your footsteps and tried to offer . Someone must be able to define the McKeller MCK07?

Pictures yes. The Inventor yes. Drawings and blueprints even copy rights. No conclusion. My answer for you is based not on exact precise definition. I apologize. For certainty is safety.

I offer this link for you. Your Guide to Buying Jig Saw Blades .

To my knowledge there are two types most used. They are a U and T shaped keyway. I really get a sense this saw is for you. Fare. Well.

My husband has a BLACK & DECKER JS515 VARIABLE SPEED JIG SAW WITH QUICK CLAMP 3.5 AMP which i accidently broke the blade on...i cant figure out how to change the blade..any help would be greatly...

Here is a link to the instruction manual, and just under the place where it says Save These Instructions it tells you how to change the blade.
http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/documents/English/Instruction%20Manual/90520882,JS515.pdf
Fitting the saw blade (figure A)
- Hold the saw blade (9) as shown, with teeth facing forward.
- Push the lever (3) downwards.
- Insert the shank of the saw blade into the blade holder (10) as far as it will go.
- Release the lever.

There is a little lever where the base of the blade fits into the holder that you depress to release the blade...You can see a picture of it in the manual.

I hope this answers your question...if so, please take a aec to rate this post...thanks.

On the spring loaded one a metal pin will fit through a hole in the black to keep it in place. Ensure your blade is not broken and has a hole for the pin to go through.
