Reset the projection TV, and fix it. God bless you

  • Reset component settings. Usually, the problems you encounter with a projection TV may be resolved through the resetting to its factory settings. If you experience inaccuracies in the color, reset the television's PerfectTint/PerfectColor capabilities. Simply press the Menu tab and then highlight "Perfect Color" using your right key arrow. After this, press "Enter" and then "Reset" in order to reset to factory settings. If you have audio / video problems (VCR or DVD player), simply press "Menu" and highlight the "Reset" option.
Reset television controls. In case you cannot fix your TV via its component settings, there are other ways of resetting. Just select "Menu", key in "1, 2, 3", and then press "Enter." In doing this, the TV's manufacturer's specifications will all be restored. If your TV's power system does not function, you should perform a complete system reset. You can do this by clicking on Reset System button located at the TV's control panel. Your television will be turned off and then a green light (LED) will quickly flash for approximately one minute. Once the light has stopped flashing, your TV should immediately turn on.

I just bought a Westinghouse LED TV. When I hooked up my dual DVD/Video combo the picture is black and white. What did I hook up wrong??

It sounds like you may have connected the dvd/video combo to the wrong spot on the television. The yellow wire cannot be placed into the green hole. You'll get a picture but it will be in black and white. You can only connect these yellow, red, and white composite wires to a component input spot on this television in order to get a color picture.

How do I connect a Xbox 360 Console without HDMI to a Grundig LED-tv 40" to get the best picture?

If your tv has a composite wiring inputs (5 wire red, white, yellow, blue, green) use them it will provide a better picture picture quality than the standard rca a/v cable (red, white, yellow) After you connect the composite cable from console to tv go into system/console settings/tv picture quality and adjust settings there

Having a big yellow spot background in the middle of the picture.

Hi , it seems you are experimenting a light engine problem. Here's how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo Basically there's 3 LCD chips that create the colors and image by blending together. When these chips start to melt you will get those blue spots, pixilation even vertical lines. You will need to replace the light engine. Have a blessed one!

Component Cable

Are you just using the yellow cable at this point, because the quality would in fact be awful? Using the green, red & blue cables (component cables) would not improve quality much, seeing as the yellow video cable has a resolution of 480i and component cables are set at 480p. Your TV (if it is in fact high definition) would either run at 720p or 1080p depending on what the manual says and what the native resolution is. I would say try and buy and upconvert DVD player and make sure to get an HDMI cable to go from the DVD player to the HDTV (some DVD players come with this cable, but you'll have to look around for them, otherwise look on buy.com or something for some cheap ones). HDMI connection and the upconvert DVD player will improve picture quality significantly.

Green spot on picture

Greenish yellow spot only means one thing. You have a defective lite engine. The only fix is to replace the engine. This part is very
expensive. Average cost $835.00 Part number A-1606-008-A

Yellow spots

As long as your convergence adjust properly the board has nothing to do with the new symptoms, yellow spots are associated with the blue picture tube, you can check for dirt on the face of the tube, you can check if the spots move like water when you move the unit to see if is short in fluid,be careful when checking with the back removed. You can cover the face of each tube to see if the spots are in the other colors.Let Us know if you need more help.

Yellow Spot dead center on screen

most likely the yellow dot is due to a burn in the picture on the "green" lens. It's not removable because it's burned it, but you can try cleaning it because sometimes, dots are caused by dirt. The worst that can occur is that if the dot is permanant.
