You may kept ideal for long time. Your battery placement area may cover with rust. Just scratch your rust and then try once again. If you found it is not working then, just call the specific brand customer support for help.

Can't locate thermostat for 2001 olds silhouette?


Under your front hood, locate your top radiator hose and follow it to where it connects to your engine. The fitting that it attaches to, (and is held on that fitting with a large hose clamp), is the housing for your thermostat. Access the thermostat by removing the hose first, and then by removing the two bolts that hold the housing on to the engine, you will have to pry the housing away from the engine with a standard blade screw driver. once the housing is removed, the thermostat will be visible. note the direction the thermostat is in before removing it. Because it can go back in either way...but only the right way will allow the water to flow correctly in and out of your engine block, so put the new one back in the spot the old one came out of and in the same direction as the old one was in. But before you do that.,, use a putty knife to carefully scrape any pieces or the whole gasket that seals the housing to the engine. the new thermostat will come with a new gasket to use when you put the new thermostat in your system. Make sure your car engine is absolutely cooled off by removing your radiator cap before disconnecting the radiator hose from the thermostat housing. work carefully and good luck be with you.

If you remove the riders right side cover below the seat...the coolant overflow reservoir is visible there....to add, I think the seat needs to come off....

Turn calculator over
Remove two visible Phillip screws
Gently pry up and remove rubber feet on all four corners-remove screws
Button cell battery (original: VINNIC L1131, replacements: Energizer 389/390 or Duracell D390)
Location: upper right hand corner under metal battery clip
To replace battery: gently pry up left tab and slide new battery with + side facing up (writing visible).
Gently push tab back down
Next: Look at circuit board, locate double arrows
Follow directions: "please press "RESET" after replacing battery"
I just touched the metal flow solder plate (small circle with squiggles) above the words "RESET" with a small screwdriver

I changed my stator out on a 2003 fxdx dyna glide and it still wont keep my battery charged , i also put a new regulator and battery on it . help


Well, that's all there is to the charging system, a stator, a rotor, a regulator, and a battery.

Charge your battery until it fully charged. Take a digital volt ohm meter and connect the red lead to the positive and the black lead to the negative lead of the battery. Put the meter in DC volts, 20 or higher range. Start the engine and bring it to a high idle. You should read 14.5 to 14.8 volts on the meter. If so, your charging is working as it should. If not, proceed to the next step.

With the engine off, find the plug where the regulator plugs into the engine case. Unplug the connector and look into the part that is inside the case. Using your DVOM, put one lead into each plug or pin in the connector. Be careful not to touch the sides of the case and it makes no difference which lead goes to which pin as the voltage is Alternating Current instead of Direct current. Put your meter in AC voltage, 50 volt or higher range. Start the engine and bring it to a high idle. You should read 30 volts or higher. If not, something is wrong with the stator. As long as you have 30 volts or better, your alternator is working as it should

Your regulator must have a good ground. I always put a 'star washer" on the regulator mounting bolts between the regulator and the frame.

If you used a new rotor, I have run across one rotor during my time that the magnets were not strong enough. You could hold a screwdriver up to it and tell right off that it wasn't right. Only seen it that one time though.

. First do a CUSTOM reset: *2767*2878# (star 2767 star 2878 hash)
turn off the phone
2. take out the battery and sim and put wrong network SIM and insert a half of it,
so it won't ask for network password and shows "Insert SIM" message.
Now put the battery ,and switch the phone on .(phone shows "Insert SIM" message.)
3.With out turn off the phone push the sim fully in. At this stage the phone is still asking to "Insert SIM"
4. Make a FULL reset by typing: *2767*3855#(star 2767 star 3855 hash)
5. The phone should reboot working with "wrong" sim inside.
6. Make a Change the NCK password to 8 zeros by typing: *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
(star 7465625 star 638 star 8zeros star 8zeros hash)
7. Now Disable network lock By typing: #7465625*638*00000000#
(hash 7465625 star 638 star 8zeros hash)
Phone is unlocked (check with *#7465625#)

How difficult is it to change a thermostat in a 2002 Ford Focus?


The Thermostat Housing is located on the right hand side of the engine. Remember this is FWD configuration so think of it as being mounted on the "rear" of the engine in terms of normal V6, V8, L6, etc.

Trace the radiator hose (right side of radiatoras you are looking from the front of the engine) and you will find it leads to the "water outlet" on the thermostat housing. There are a total of 4 hoses attached to the Thermostat Housing. It is a black plastic (OEM) housing held onto the engine by 3 bolts. Note: ther are 3 Torx screws visible, they for the water outlet housing and can be worked on while the Thermostat Housing is off of the engine. Plastic can easily crack/score so be gentle whe removing the hoses and hardware.

This housing is notorious for leaking even when a new gasket (O-Ring) is installed. I suggest dressing the housing mount surface with a small bead of grey RTV along with a new gasket prior to installing. Be sure to use only a small bead in an effort not to get excess into the housing or to foul the gasket.

THE UNIT WONT COME ON AI ALL, BUT ON THE THERMOSTAT THERES A BLINKING STAR. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?


the blinking star means the t-stat is on delay, you can try to cut the power to the t-stat or remove the batteries for about 2min to reset the t-stat connect your power or put your batteries back on t-stat and see if works dont forget the delay on the t-stat make the star to blink
