Question about GE DBXR463EBWW Electric Dryer

1 Answer

Error E03 There is a possibility that it could be that the outlet thermostor is a generic one vs a GE. It as well as the original one tests resistance of 8 k-ohms which is what it should test when it's 200' 77'F it should read 100 k-ohms. There is a self diagnostic program and that is where the error reading of E03 came from. I have a chart of error codes but E03 isn't on it and Jacoby's doesn't have a chart that gives it and GE claims they don't either. The guy at GE (phone answerer) thought it might be the outlet thermostor. Anyone know how to solve this error? I can't find it in any manual and GE says they don't know it. Help!

Re: Error E03

Besides error code, what is problem? Sometimes you get false reading in error codes, which if you reset dryer it will go away. It could be a loose connection on the ribbon or nothing at all.

I have a Ge Profile Harmony Dpgt750Ec Electric Dryer & I need to know the location of the thermal fuse so I can replace it. Unit is not getting power. Breaker is good & outlet box tested fine.

From my memory of a GE Dryer it is behind the drum where the elements are.

You remove the front, remove the drum and then remove the element housing.

You will (or should) find information hidden in the top console.

I have a GE Profile dryer that stops 10-15 minutes into cycle. Seems to happen at almost the same amount of time in. It stops and Start/Pause light is flashing. If you hit button , starts for a few se

take a multi meter and check ffuse, thermistor, etc, etc behind the back of the dryer. Take the back off, you'll see a few little parts with wiring going to them. Take off one after another and use the multi meter in "ohms" mode to see which little part has "zero" ohms when you press the red and black points on each side of those little parts. If it has a reading of 4.6 or 7.9 or whatever, put it right back on and ncheck the next one. When you find one that shows 0.0 or 0.01 or next to nothing, zero, go buy that part and out it back on. It could be the timer fuse, the actual timer back there, the element, but you can check all those little things, like about 5 or 6 of them are back there total, with a multi meter. Then either go ton a supply house in your area or order it off amazon/ebay. Thats all you need to do at this point so far.

My dryer (DBVH520EJ2WW) will not turn on. No lights, no beeping - nothing. There was a lighting storm and it hasn't worked ever since.

Often the dryer is on it's own circuit, is there a breaker on the outlet? try to reset it. Or in your breaker box, test each one. Check that the outlet has power.. plug in a lamp or somthing..
If no joy then you might need a repair person to come in, possibly need a control circuit board.

Error code e61

  • GE dryers use three-character codes that display on LCD screens. Every code starts with "E" and is followed by a two-digit number.
Power Failure
  • When your home loses power, the "E01" error flashes on the screen. Reset the dryer memory by unplugging the device, waiting 30 seconds and plugging it back in. The error code will disappear.
Thermistor Errors
  • Errors "E02," "E03," "E04" and "E05" are thermistor errors. The thermistor, when operating properly, reads the temperature of the dryer. Errors E02 through E05 indicate the thermistor must be replaced.
  • When there is an error with the door switch and sensor, the "E60" error code will appear. An unbalanced door will produce the E60 code. Try to close the door gently and listen for the click. If the error remains, the door switch may need to be replaced.
Control Board Errors The control board sends signals from the controls to the dryer. When this fails, errors "E61," "E80" and "E81" appear. Contact GE service or install a new control board for the dryer
