Question about 1995-1997 Chevy 1500 Truck Ignition Starter Alarm Switch

1 Answer

I have a 1995 chevy K1500 5.7L V8, I started the engine at nine oclock but did not drive it, an hour later I went to leave but my truck would not start, I realized that my fuel pump was not pumping so I bought a new fuel pump then realized the wires going to the pump were not hot (black/white and grey wire.) but the wire goin to the float was hot (pink wire.) Question 1. what would make these wires not get any electricity to them... I ran a wire from the fuse box to the fuel pump, I can get fuel to the motor that way but my injectors aren't opening, like there not getting any electricity to them either. Question 2. what would cause my injectors not to get any electricity.

1) the wires can break for to get electricity. 2) or loose wires or bad contacts 2) injector loose wires or bad contacts, or corroded.
The best way you can use the VOM, for continuity to each wires.
God bless you

SOURCE: 6.5 turbo diesel wont start

check the high pressure oil switch next to the glow plug controller. if the switch is bad you will not get any fuel to your injector pump. unplug the molex and jump it out. this will bypass the switch. if it runs, just buy another high pressure oil switch. good luck!

I have a forestville wall clock with the pull down weights. when it chimes it is behind in time. example nine oclock chimes seven oclock, it is a made in germany clock but what year i do not know. there...

Stop the pendulum of the clock exactly at any even hour. Lets say at 6.00. While clock is steady and not working, pull off the minute and hour hands off the pinion, but do not brake them. You have to pull without any twisting action. This will leave pinions exactly in place they were when you stopped the clock. When it is done - push the hour hand back onto the pinion and make sure it is pointing at 4 (not 6, as it was when you stopped the clock). When hour hand is back in place and pointing at 4, push back minute hand as it was when you pulled it off - pointing at 12. Make sure hands will not catch when passing each other (you can bend them slightly if needed). Now swing pendulum to start the clock and adjust time (clockwise only). Never adjust time when clock is chiming. Rate me, plz.

1995 Buick Lesabre: security blinks and car will not start

If the starter is turning the engine, try re-setting the security system (leave key on till light stops blinking.) If the starter does not turn, you may have some success in re-setting system, if not you need to check battery voltage and voltages in starter system till you find the problem...can be something as simple as a bad connection at the battery. If you need help with further testing, just ask.

Chevy lumina 1995 van

I have a 96 Chevy Lumina with an electric sliding side door. A few weeks ago we started having problems with it. I went to work and when I got ready to leave it would not start. I had to have it jumped. Got home and let it set over the Thanksgiving weekend. Went to start it the Mon/Tues after and nothing. Let it set another week and still nothing. We jumped it again and it took 15 minutes to get enough of a charge in the battery to get it started. Took it to a battery store and they checked the battery and said that was the problem. We replaced the battery (it wasn't that old) and went home. A few days later it wouldn't start again. Could this problem have anything to do with the electric slinding door? if so, any suggetions on how to fix it?
