Try taking out the drive and blowing in it like you would any cartridge and also blow into the connectors that are on the laptop itself. You can use a can of compressed air.Reinsert the drive into the laptop and you might see improvement. If this does not resolve the issue boot into the bios by starting the computer and pressing F2. If the cdrom keeps ejecting then replace the cdrom. You can call the Dell Spare Parts Department at 1-877-717-3355 to purchase another drive.
