Downloading and merging the .reg files for the listed directory and folder options in the tutorial below should be able to fix this for you. It will restore their default associations and registry entries.

This needs to be done with elevated rights (administrator). Open start menu, go to accessories, right click on command prompt, run as administrator

Create new folder


Right click > New Folder. There is also a new folder option within a dialog box. Windows will also customize how files and type of files are viewed, you can also manualy do this.

I have purchased a new computer. Can I keep the files that I have saved on my passport from the old computer and set up a separate space for the files on the new computer?


Of course you can, you can either create a folder in your documents folder (or wherever you want) and copy the files over.
Or you can create a new partition on your hard drive, just for those files.
If you have windows 7, you can create a new partition without using any software, its built into windows. Here is a guide

Windows folder delay, have to click out and back in to see result


When you have a folder open and make any changes to the folder,there are times I also experience the same problem.I simply go to the top and click on View then go to the bottem of the menu and click refresh,that updates any changes I made or created in that folder...hope that works for you...if not,you want try a system restore point back to the day before this problem first occured.

To create the message store folder: 1. Close WinFax and the WinFax Controller. 2. If you are running Windows NT, 2000, or XP, stop the WinFax service.
