To much slack in pull cord on poulan pro push lawn mower


u need to remove the recoil assbly and restring.remove recoil and cut not out of string.remove line.rotat the coil assbley counter clockwish till spring presser is tight.hold it in place and reinstall cord threw eye whole tie new not and let off recoil slow.slack should go away.

The string broke. It is a yard machine lawn mower


Take pull string housing off. Looks like 3 or 4 screws. Should be able to restring from under side. Either buy new string or if old string is long enough, just tie knot on the end. Good luck

How to restring a husqvarna 224L


To remove the head to restring, push in the bumper cap/side tabs on the strimmer head, the top should then just pull off exposing the inner spool.

How do you remove the top cover? we need to restring the pull cord, but not sure how to get the cover off.


You didn't say what kind of engine / mower you have, but they're mostly all alike. The Briggs engines have 2 bolts up front and two in the back. Just remove those and the cover will lift right off. Some of the Tecumseh's have 4 small 1/4" bolts on around the top circle that you remove. Best of luck to you.

How to restring back and decker grass hog


For Black and Deckers: Remove cup from bottom of unit by depressing 2 detent tabs and pulling away from unit. Replace empty spool with new full one or wind on aftermarket string. Wind in direction of arrow on spool. Make sure spool is seated on rachet firmly.

Spool removal impossible


The thing is with strimmers, mower etc.
Depending on which direction the designers have made it spin, they normally have a 'reverse' threaded, head.
Simply 'Tighten' it up to remove, and 'undo' it, to tighten.
Et voila!
