My ford escape power window, the passenger side window will not go up or down it, work for a while then recently doesn't work, i swapped switches with the rear and the passenger switch didn't work in the rear,"ok so a bad switch... then i tried the rear door switch in the passenger side door and nothing either.. brought a new switch and nothing... but works in the rear door, soo now i have a new switch that works but not in the door in the window i want it to. the master i guess, switch is bad cause on that the passenger side switch also doesn't work. can anyone help
Rather then swaping parts that don't fix it , testing the electrical is the proper way to diagnose . Using a wiring diagram to locate testing point's in the circuit . Tesing for B+ voltage at the switch , in an out , at the motor etc.... How to test power window switch motor 1985 2001 Toyota

I had the same problem with now power to windows, mirrors and seat. The common soulution is the orange and or black wire in the boot have broken between the door and post.

the drivers door switch is most likely bad, they get used the most and wear out first, the connector on the back of switch may have come loose and not making good electrical contact, remove switch and check connector and if still not working need new switch, the windows are all on same circuit and either all work or none work so not fuse. extremely rare is a short in wired but not likely.

If the window lock-out swich located on the drivers side door master switch is in the off or un-lock position, then the problem will be a broken wire or wires in the weather boot that runs between the door and the body of the vehicle. Any broken wires that you find should be repaired by soldering them well, use the same gage wire to lengthen any broken wires in order to successfully solder them, and do not use wire connectors if you want the connection to last.

The switch itself may be faulty. Have you tested it with an ohmmeter? Have you tested power to the passenger switch with a voltmeter?
