Hitachi 0A59577 320 gb disk drives reporting high pending and reallocated sectors causes system to crash.Vibration 10-200mz
> high pending and reallocated sectors
The electronics inside the disk-drive is encountering "bad" spots on the surface of the disk-drive, and is attempting to allocate some of the "spare" parts of the disk-drive as substitutes for the "bad" parts.
But, it is running-out of "spare" areas to deploy.
What this means is that YOUR DISK-DRIVE IS ABOUT TO FAIL.
Buy an external disk-drive, or buy a bunch of CD-writable or DVD-writable disks, and make a BACKUP copy of your files (E-mail, music),
while you still can access your current disk-drive.
Then, buy a new "internal" hard-drive, and reinstall Windows (you *DO* have the "System Restore" disks, correct?) onto the new disk-drive, and restore your files from your backup.
If your current disk-drive is still under manufacturer's warranty, then exercise the warranty, to get a free replacement. But, make sure that you have copied all your data from the disk-drive *BEFORE* you send it to the manufacturer, because they will take *NO* responsibility for trying to "recover" any of your files.
