Question about Computers & Internet
Zoostorm laptop model????
I think that is a problem of driver or the type of hdmi, what can you recommend to do an update on both the video driver and sound driver of laptop. but please give me laptop and tv type as you can give more information.

if it worked fine at some point then it should work fine now... i use hdmi to hdmi from my laptop to tv all the time dvi would only cause quality loss.
the first thing i would try would be to change your resolution on your laptop to a couple different settings. a lot of times, if its not set to one thats compatible with your tv, you won't see anything.
if that doesn't work, go to personalization and open the tab that says "connect an external display" and toy around with it. but yeah it doesn't sound like you have any hardware problems there.
hope this helps

Sounds like you may have just had either a settings change when installing or adjusting one of your other media programs that has stopped it from working the way it should or, may have just got some automatic updates either from HP or Microsoft that forced a similar change.
The reason the sound isn't going through the HDMI is likely that the laptops soundcard is stuck on the speakers setting and needs to be switched back to digital.
For the moment, try opening your start menu, then control panel. If it's not in classic mode you can switch it by clicking the classic mode link in the top left of the window. Scroll down to the sound icon and double click it. You should have 2 or more icons in the middle. If the one that's called "Speakers" has a green check mark that means its set to use the laptops built in speakers. If this is the case to switch to the digital output on the HDMI simply put your mouse on the digital icon, right click it and set it to default.
If this only corrects the problem to the point where it now work on the tv but won't switch back then you likely had a windows update change something, if this doesn't work at all or if you no longer see the Digital icon then it likely means something in your Video driver may have been damaged(or just changed) due to an update. This is because the adiou out in the HDMI is actually coming from your video card.
Either way you can try two things to fix it. First go into start menu, All Programs, Recovery Manager if it's a single Icon just click it if there are 3+ look for the one about applications and drivers and click that. The recovery manager will ask what you want to do more than once say no or next until the "Application & driver" option presents itself then take that option. This will allow you to change both your sound and video drivers back to factory.
It will ask you Applications OR Drivers, select drivers then follow the prompts to find your sound card driver. Re-install the factory driver and then restart the laptop. If it Works you're done. If not repeat the previous sections but re-install the video card driver and restart then test again.
If that doesn't work drop me a comment here and I can give you a few more pointers

If you are using windows, try going to the screen resolution page(right click desktop and click properties and then click the last tab for xp, or right click desktop and click personalize and then screen resolution. There you should see two black rectangles. Click the second one(he one that's grayed out) and set a resolution in the dropdown menu. Then the tv should show your computer screen. You can also fool around with the resolutions. Good luck!
