Sounds like there is a bad solder connection inside the set and needs to be looked at by a tech. The Flashing LED usually will be a code for the tech to send him in the right direction as to the problem. Try counting how many times it flashes and call them or manurfacture. hope this helps

My TV works fine with excellent sound and picture quality but the picture comes and goes?

Check all cable connections, if known to be good, then I would think it is a internal board issue. these boards some times crack connection from heat cycling, boards flex hot and cold.

Westinghouse model tx-47f430s lcd tv wil not turn on

This is known as SLEEP MODE problem.

Simple solutions:
1. Get a power surge protector / strip.
2. Plug your TV power cord to the power surge.
3.Then turn-on your TV using the remote control. Just in case it won't go all the way to normal state.
4. Turn-off the switch of your power surge like 5 times with an interval of 3-5 seconds.
5. Then repeat step 3 and 4.
6. These step is done to over-ride the sleep mode.

Plasma tv screen goes black once you turn it on. Only sound

I have a panasonic TH-42PX60U plasma TV. When I watch TV programing I have no problems, or with the DVD input. But if I switch to another input, be it video game (PS2) or vcr the screen sometimes goes black and the red power lcd light next to the power switch flashes. Holding the power button in for a few seconds will shut down the tv. Then I can turn it back on and it may operate normally again for a undetermined period of time, before the screen goes black again. This never happened when new. The tv is about 1 year old. Any ideas on this problem? Thanks Ernie
