Re: phone connection problem

Yes, it looks like the thunderstorm has damaged your DTV unit because the DTV unit should only go off hook as a means of dialing the DTV Company. I would have that unit replaced. BTW, do not try to repair that DTV unit. I work for a Telephone company in the Maryland DC area and I can tell you there are no serviceable parts inside and the unit is not your to do that anyway. So call the DTV Company and have then replace the defective unit.

Hello there! Daniel Busa with Dish Network customer service here. One thing i've noticed is if you have a phone line splitter on the wall jack they will tend to go bad often. Another thing you can try is pressing menu 6-3 go to connection hit select wait for it to finish, then go to dial out and hit select if that doesn't work check your line.

There was an err by clicking the icon it shows the message as errorcode#E0601009

Are you still experiencing the error message on your receiver. If you are, is the message indicating a phone line error? If that is the message you are receiving, you can run a phone line test on your receiver to make sure you are getting dial tone to the receiver.

Press the menu button on the remote. On the main menu, press 6, 3. This takes you to the diagnostics screen. In the upper right hand corner is a button, "Connection". Press select once the button is highlighted. This will initiate a connection test. Once the test is completed, a message will show either "failed" or "passed". If it fails check your phone jack for dial tone and then the phone cord from the phone jack to the receiver box.

I hope this helps. If you need more assistance, please post to this site.

We are trying to hook up a receiver to an additional dish at our campground It is a dish 322 we think everthing is set except for the phone line test. We cannot bypass and do not have a phone line in our...

I saw your post and I'm wondering if you are still having problems with the 322 receiver. Do you know the software version of the receiver? We do not require the phone line connection anymore. You can check the software version by pressing the menu button on your remote twice. The fifth line from the top will give you the software version. It should be L4.85. I hope this helps.

Want six receivers at home

The 301 is a standard receiver, so it wont give you HD programs. You will have to buy at least 3 HD receivers. (they're about $300 a piece:(). The vip222 HD reciever has 2 tuners so it will allow you to have seperate programs on 2 television.

One T.V. snowy on Sat., clear on local channels, others are fine?

if you recently got dishnetwork call the company that installed the system for a repair person, they HAVE to fix it. if you put it in yourself it sounds like the lnb is bad or the dishnetwork splitter is bad or not hooked up right. this kind of problem is a reminder that paying an extra $5 a month for service warranty is a good deal. if something is wrong with anything then, a phone call to dishnetwork will get new equipment sent to you or a service tech sent to fix it. i don't presently work for dish or direct or a cable co but i know that's how things work.
