SOURCE: Match the year of my Rolex Explorer 1 from the serial number

I would expect Rolex to have a record of all their watches and if you contact your nearest dealer, they should be able to help you.

You can find a store guide on their web site "rolex.com"

SOURCE: I have an "Orient Fineness

mcdevito75 here, Hello John, Orient Ultramatic, 67" beautifull watch and Vintage, Our Repair Service Directory should have a watch repair person who can service your vintage watch. At the bottom of this page Click on Repair Service Directory then watches. Please be aware, like any machine John, your vintage watch has wear in it, the gears in the gear train, have the slightest play between the teeth, the main spring and hairspring are not as tight (rigid, springy) as they were when your watch was say, 3-5-10 years old, these factors all contibute to your watches off time as a matter of speaking. You may want to consider a complete over-haul of your Orient Ultramatic watch. I am Mike D of the RITE TIME BASICS, listed in the Repair Service Directory here at fixya. (email mcdevito@netzero.com)Or you can choose any of the other fine watch makers here at fixya"s Repair Service Directory.

ROLEX OYSTER SECOND HAND STUCK

Its time for a service.
Take it to any Rolex re-seller that offers repair or to any good timepiece service center. If its a vintage piece i would recommend sending it to Rolex, paying the extra cost to receive the watch with full Rolex repair documents and service history. The Rolex web site has information on this. Also this company does a fine job on Rolex repair. https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-repair-service

I have a vintage Bulova watch that I'm trying to date: No. On face is 23 Number on back of case is 312171 I would appreciate any help.

Bulova began using a series of codes in the late 40's to date watches, look on your case for a letter followed by a number, the letter designates the decade,A=40's,L=50's,M=60's,.N=70's,P=80's,T=90's and the following number designates the year, an example would be,M4 would indicate 1964. Hope this helps, the serial numbers are used for identification purposes only

Just bought a vintage Citizen Super Crystal Date stainless steel watch. Serial No. on back is 00625090. Can you provide the approximate or exact date of production? Thank you.

We cannot tell you from the serial number what the model watch you bought is . But you can call Citizen watch 800 321 1023 extension 4234 and give them the serial and they will be able to tell you the model and year the watch was produced.

This is a tough question. Rolex has always been very secretive of manufacturing information so there is no definitive list of "born on dates" The serial number 2534788 is most likely from 1969 or 1970. The problem is that I know of no Rolex from that time period that has the small seconds hand. The off-set seconds hand was a feature of pre WW2 watches. The case number on the inside of the case back would help in identifying the movement and being able to provide more information
