  • Unplug the unit from the source of electricity. Open the front cover located on the face of the unit.

  • Locate the blue lever in front of the toner cartridge. You will be able to see it clearly when you look through the opening originally covered by the front cover.
  • Pull the blue lever down gently. Do not use force. It is easy to manipulate and just needs a gentle pull.4

  • Look for the blue handle that is on the toner box. Grasp the handle firmly and pull it. The toner box will move toward you. Remove the toner box until it cannot go any farther. The handle is easy to manipulate, so do not tug at it, just pull it gently.

Changed toner cartridge and still not printing entire page- mostly white space. How can I tell if it is a faulty new cartridge or problems with my copier. There is toner dust inside the copier from when...

First you need to vacume the spilled toner, especially on transfer roller, eaven clean the transfer roller contacts.

Try to reinstall the old crg., shake it so that you may get few copies for checking it. If print is OK then its problem in new crg.

How do i change the print cartridge?

    Replacing the print cartridge
    1. Open the print cartridge door, and remove the old print cartridge. CAUTION: To prevent damage to the print cartridge, minimize its exposure to direct light by covering it with a sheet of paper. Figure 1: Removing the print cartridge c01174123.jpg
    2. Remove the new print cartridge from the packaging. CAUTION: To prevent damage to the print cartridge, hold the print cartridge at each end.
    3. Pull the tab until all the tape is removed from the cartridge. Put the tab in the print cartridge box to return for recycling. Figure 2: Removing the sealing tape c01211568.jpg
    4. Gently rock the toner cartridge from front to back to distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge. Figure 3: Shaking the print cartridge c01211569.jpg
    5. Insert the print cartridge in the device and close the print cartridge door. Figure 4: Inserting the print cartridge c01174125.jpg CAUTION: If toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry cloth and wash the clothing in cold water. Hot water sets toner into the fabric.

NOTE: When toner is low, faded or light areas appear on the printed page. You might be able to temporarily improve print quality by redistributing the toner. To redistribute the toner, remove the cartridge from the device and gently rock it from front to back.
