Test this steps and fix it. God bless you

  1. Check the power diodeThis electronic component is responsible for transmitting current in one direction. If the diode becomes defective it will cause your microwave to not heat. Test the diode and replace it if necessary.
  2. High voltage capacitorResponsible for storing electricity, this part is a key component in any microwave. Remove, discharge, and test the capacitor to determine if it requires replacement.
  3. Damaged magnetronResponsible for generating waves and producing heat. When your microwave is no longer heating properly, replacement will be required.
  4. Thermal CutoffsExamine the thermal cutoffs on both the magnetron and the oven itself. Take off one of the leads and using a volt-ohm meter on RX1, check the terminals. If you get a result other than zero, replace the thermal cutoffs.

CDA MC41 Light not working

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Again, this microwave oven repair is for OTR models. If you know your light bulbs are good and your display is telling you that they should be on, check the light relay on your control board. If no voltage is found at that relay, then replace the control board. Otherwise your problem is in the light socket, wiring, or wire connectors. You can get to all of that by unscrewing 6-8 screws under the unit and taking the bottom panel off.

MY LG microwave oven model no MH6344W does not heat the food .The oven is fine after 1 minute microwaving if i remove the food it is as cold as it was. What would be the reason please explain. I tried...

Hi,

If the food is not being heated it means the magnetron is not working. The magnetron is the device which generates microwaves which heat the food. It could be the magnetron itself which is faulty or it could be one or 2 other components causing the magnetron not to work. You will have to take your microwave oven to a service center to determine the exact cause & get a repair quotation.

Let me know if you need further assistance.
Best wishes,
Graeme

CDA CM3SS fitted everythiong works except the

There are two possibilities. Either the magnetron and its accompanying transformer has failed or it could simply be the fuse that feeds the magnetron. This should be checked by someone that is familiar with the correct servicing techniques as there are some very high power components in this area that can be quite dangerous. But if it is just the 'high tension' fuse then at least the bill wont be too high !

Power but no heat

If you have no power in the microwave, check to see if the outlet is good by plugging something else into it. If there is power, you may have blown the internal thermal fuse, or the door switch may be defective. Either of these will keep your microwave from working. The thermal fuse protects both you and the oven by blowing if there is too much power going through it. When a fuse blows, it means that the wire inside that conducts electricity has broken, usually because of an electrical overload. When it blows, you need to have a professional microwave repair person replace it. If this is not the problem, it may be that your door switch has become defective. If the door switch isn't working properly, it won't let the circuit complete to operate microwave components.

Microwave oven is heating cold.. instead of hot. the clock still works though

It sounds like a problem with the transformer/Magnetron section of your unit. If the unit is in warranty call the manufacturers customer care. If not, replace the oven as service is more expensive than a new unit. Ther are many great features on the new ovens and the prices are very reasonable.

Not heating properly

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a few minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

If that doesn't do it, and your line voltage is right, then I would say your magnetron is dying.

Slow is heat is a typical symptom of magnetron failure.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
