Hello Melinda, when the refrigerator is beeping or buzzing, it may be a warning sign of a possible malfunction or an unsafe, interior temperature. To silence the buzzer, you can depress the ALARM OFF button. However, if you have already done this, try unplugging the unit or flipping the household circuit breaker for about ten minutes.

If the alarm continues, it could possibly be experiencing a communication problem with the temperature control/board, wiring failure or faulty compressor since error code 1 typically indicates an issue with the compressor. I would recommend connecting with a professional appliance tech for a clear-cut diagnosis.
I hope this information helps to some degree.

First make sure you have a good 9v battery installed. If it is ok then the problem will probably be in the display board or the wiring connectors between the boards. CE is communication error. If your model has the electronic tempature control instead of mechanical thermostat the problem could be in there. My bet is a bad connection at display board.

This is probably the defrost cycle. The beeps are the high temp alarm. It is probably overly sensitive.

Hello Ricco, thanks for your post!
Based off the information you have provided it sounds like a possible issue with your control panel or power cord within your Frigidaire freezer. I would recommend performing a reset on your freezer and you can do that by disconnecting the power cord for roughly ten minutes. If you continue to experience an issue with the freezer I would recommend consulting with a professional technician for a proper diagnosis to be completed. Best of luck! -Matt

Alarm go on with no apparent reason

Thank you for your post, michael!

I see that the alarm inside your Frigidaire freezer continues to beep it sounds like a potential issue within your control panel or thermistor. Your alarm will beep to inform you that the inside of your freezer is reaching high temperatures. Performing a reset on your appliance could help correct the problem, to perform a reset you need to unplug your freezer or flip the household circuit breaker off for ten minutes. I hope this has been helpful. -Matt

Hi Loretta, I am happy to assist you!

Based on the symptoms you are describing, it sounds like your freezer may possibly have a communication problem with the control board, a potential wiring failure, or faulty temperature control. Before reaching out to a professional, let's try resetting your freezer. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping off the circuit breaker. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes. If it proves ineffective, In this regard, I would suggest contacting an Authorized Service Technician that will be able to assist you in the exact diagnosis of the appliance.

Best regards!

Hello Michael - Sounds like the temperature control was accidently turned OFF. When this occurs the temperature control turns off the compressor, but does not disconnect the power to the light bulb or other electronics. Let's try activating the freezer by pressing the UP arrow until display shows "4" or desired setting. Allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize. For future reference you can lock the control to keep from accidently changing the temperature setting. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if the unit's status has changed successfully. Thank you.

Frigidaire upright freezer: freezer stopped working (no power).

Hi Kevin - it sounds like your freezer may possibly be stuck in diagnostic mode. Press and hold the Up (+) and Down (-) keys simultaneously for 3 seconds or more. The buzzer will beep at the end of the 3 seconds. Hopefully that will resolve the issue. If you continue experiencing this problem, please provide a model number to your freezer and any additional symptoms it may have experienced prior to shut off. - Best of luck!
