Why does my radiator become empty after 30 minuets of driving and water appears on the driver side floor?

Your heater core is leaking, bypass the core by removing hoses from firewall and joining together, or cable tying over, this will get you back on the road until you can replace the heater core.

How do i by pass a pinhole leak in the steel tubing on the rear heater core ?

There are always 2 hose connections going to the heater in the vehicle.. One brings the water into the heater and other takes the water back out.. They are usually on the firewall in the engine compartment, and on the same side as where the heater will be inside the vehicle, under the dashboard..
Did you bypass both of them?

Bad heater core, you will need to replace your heater core, or bypass the lines going into the firewall for the heater core.

I have a 2001 ford taurus and i have antifreeze coming out of the firewall. to me it looks like a plug is missing . has anybody ever seen this before

Yep - if the coolant is inside the car, you've got a bad heater core. The inlet and outlet ports go through the firewall into the engine compartment and connect to hoses there. If the leak is in the engine compartment, the hoses may be cracked from age and leaking.

1994 dodge caravan. No heat. two hoses ar e disconnected. One is from firewall. Is there a part missing.

If it is an inlet hose, there should be a valve that allows water into the heater core. Usually, when someone disconnects these particular hoses, it is because of a leaky heater core. You may have more issues after you reconnect, however in order to get heat, they will have to be connected and if your heater core then leaks, (in the passenger side floorboard), you will have to replace the heater core as well. Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

Coolant leak close to firewall from 90 degree rubber elbow. 93 pontiac 2.3 liter. It looks like there is a hose missing. Is this an overflow or am I missing a hose? If I am where does it lead?

hoses at the firewall connect the heater core inside the car to the engines coolant system.there are 2 heater hoses.the hose may have deteriorated or if the90* elbow has a clamp at the firewall end and is loose, the inlet tube of the heater core may be broken.use a flashlight for closer inspection.rapid coolant loss will result either way.

check the heater core to see if it is clogged up . first warm the car to normal temp , there are 2 heater hoses that go from the engine to the firewall. both should be hot, if not the heater core is clogged .
