You must download the specifications for power supply form your manufacturer suppliers, go to the website and download the owner manual, and get it, with your model, serial number.
God bless you

Seatools test code 606060d0 hat does it mean

this code usually suggest that this is lba (logical block addressing) issue, i am suspecting your pcb board being at fault or usb port or usb cable or power source. i assume that this is on external hdd?

asking that sort of the question you should provide manufacturer of hdd, internal or external, what wer the symptoms, what is the size of hdd, what o/s you use, this is helping in providing detailed and correct solution. as you supplied only fragmentary data - only generic solution can be provided.

before you do anything else, check your power supply, check your usb cable and check usb port, check all three on another computer as well.

if power supply, usb cable and usb port are ok, and hdd is out of warranty, then i would suggest opening of the case and connecting hdd directly to the computer via sata cable. and internal power supply.

if hdd works correctly, switch to power supply supplied with the casing, if you can read the data, that way you will exclude power supply as culprit, it works...

that will left only and only pcb and usb port/cable.

hope this short info will help you - do not forget to vote...

My Toshiba 1Tb External Hard drive Light Isn't coming on!

It sounds like the usb port on the drive itself is shot. You can actually take apart the case and pull just the harddrive out and use a hotswap usb harddrive reader and get to your files again

I have a simpletech 120 GB external USB hard drive with NO power supply. Do you know what the power rating is (ac or dc, how many volts, amperage...) or where I can get a new power supply for it? -Thanks

12VDC, 1.5A external power adapter Well that is what this page says, it's not your 120GB drive but unsure if it's no the same model maybe. However all external HDD that need a power supply should be needing 12 volts, as they are just internal drives mounted in a shell and some simple circuitry to power and connect it.

My usb external Buffalo ministation is not been recognised on my pc and the LED light is flashing green and orange

The external storage device has several major components:

* USB cable

* external power-supply

* disk-drive inside the enclosure

* USB-to-disk-drive adapter inside the enclosure.

Try a different USB cable.
Try a different USB port on your computer.
Try a USB port on a different computer.

Take a multi-meter, and measure the output voltage/amperage of the power-supply,
and compare with the specifications on the label of the power-supply.

Open the enclosure, and remove the disk-drive, and attach it as a "slave" drive in a desktop computer, to see if bypassing the USB-to-disk-drive adapter bypasses the problem.

Look at the label on the disk-drive, for manufacturer, product-number, serial-number, and manufacture date. Access the manufacturer's web-site, and use "check warranty status" to see if the warranty still is valid. If so, the drive can be replaced, at minimal cost to you.

Buy a new, compatible, disk-drive, and install it in the enclosure, to "revive" your external storage device.

Search online for a professional "data recovery service". For a significant fee, they can repair your disk-drive, just long-enough to copy your files to a new disk-drive.

I have a iomega eGo HDD and its not showing up on my computer but it shows up under my devices how do I fix that

It depends. If this is the _very_ first time that you have connected the IOMEGA device to your computer, you'll need to "initialize" the HDD for usage by Windows (or Mac OS).
Or, if you've previously done that, and you've written files onto it, and now cannot read those files, you have an entirely-different problem, namely a "hardware" problem.

An external storage device has several major components:

* the USB cable (which in your case, seems OK, since the device is listed)
* the disk-drive inside the enclosure
* the USB-to-disk-drive adapter inside the enclosure
* optionally, an external power-supply that connects to the enclosure.

Use a multi-meter to measure the voltage/amperage generated by that power-supply,
and compare with the specifications on the power-supply's label.

Disassemble the enclosure, and remove the disk-drive.
Connect it as a "slave" disk-drive in a desktop computer, to see if bypassing that USB-to-disk-drive adapter bypasses the problem.

If the device is still under warranty, IOMEGA will replace it, at minimal cost to you.

If the warranty has terminated, buy a new, compatible, disk-drive, and install it inside the enclosure, to "revive" your external storage device.

Need power cord

According to the Maxtor/Seagate knowledgebase information: your adapter calls for these specifications.

Model: SYS1308-2412-W2
PART NO: SYS1308-2412
INPUT: 100-240V ~ 1.0A MAX
50-60VA, 50-60Hz
OUTPUT: +12V - 2.0A
OUTPUT POWER: 24W MAX.

I Googled the part number and found that several power supply dealers sell this unit.
The Jameco Company sells a power supply with this model number.
I hope this helps you.
