If the mouth piece of the phone is faulty, you will be able to hear the caller but they will not be able to hear you, if that is the case, then it is confirmed that the mouth piece or mic of your phone is bad and need to be replaced.
Therefore you will have to replace the mic of the phone. But before you do, you can use an external earpiece that you will connect to the phone through the earpeice connection port on the phone, pending the time you will replace the microphone of the phone.
