Please turn off the computer, start hitting F8 at the startup and then choose last known good configuration. If this does not work, choose Safe mode options. If nothing works, please restore it to factory settings by holding down CTRL key and hitting F11 key up and down at the startup.

ThMy Dell inspiron b120 couldn't shut down?

Stuck process. Use Ctrl-Alt-Del to see what is not responding, kill the process.

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate.

Hello my Acer aspire one kav10 is stuck on windows xp loading screen. I have already tried to system restore to an earlier point by using safe mode but when the laptop starts up again it gets stuck on the...

One of the drivers or programs that is set to launch during boot is corrupted. You will have to find out which and uninstall / upgrade it.
Boot in Safe Mode, click Start, Click Run and type msconfig and hit enter - the startup management window will launch. Click on the Startup tab and untick all the programs in there. Now reboot. If you get the same error then the problem is with a driver - uninstall them all then download the latest versions from the Acer Support site and install them one by one. If the problem is fixed then one of the programs is corrupted - open msconfig / Startup again and tick one program at a time with reboot until the problem returns: uninstal that program.

Windows startup is stuck for 20 minutes

Hi, If system is stuck and will not let you do anything (including power down), remove the AC adapter & the battery. Reinsert batter and apply AC power. On boot before Windows start press F8 and select Safe Mode. In Safe Mode, uninstall any program that you feel may be preventing Windows from starting normally. You can also select Last Known.... and Windows will also start with the last known good configuration. You can also use the Uninstall or the Add/remove Program. Hope this be of help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
