Sound device

Hello,

When did the problem occur?
I suggest that you go to the device manager:
Right Click on Computer > Manage > Device Manager
Look for the audio device driver. Right click on it, then uninstall. Restart your computer. Windows should generate the driver (generic), Usually it fixes the issue. Fixed or not, you need to update the driver. You can use RadarSync to automate the updating process. You won't have to do anything at all.

Under device manager where to locate microphone option

Your microphone would only show up under Device Manager if it is a USB microphone. If you are using analog, 2.3mm jack (looks like a headphone jack only red), then you won't see it there.
For WinXP you want to be looking under Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices to see and configure settings for your speakers, microphone, etc.
What is shown under Device Manager, if you aren't using a USB microphone, is the sound card. This is because your headphone and microphone ports are connected to the sound card in your computer.

I want to off the microphone of this speaker but I don't know how. The speaker emits a sound like that of a microphone and it disturbs our listening to music.

if you want to off the microphone
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there you can a tick in the mute box untick it or select audio from the microphone drop down list make sure you have the right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has or has'nt got a tick in it or select the voice tab and make sure that you have the right media selected also select volume make sure the box for microphone has'nt a tick in it
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might not be a tick in the mute box tick it although it should not interfere with any listening to your music there might be another issue
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers or uninstall
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer

hope this helps
