Which counter ? Is it the print cue ?

if you have multiple prints in the queue you will have to open a file that you are about to print click ok a page will open with a

display print queue tab you can see all prints right click on the ones you don't need select cancel

The copier works on the counter clear the counter and not replace the parts that counter is monitoring and you will have codes and image problems the counters tell the copier parts are new and to adj assigned voltages as required.

M-4 replace the drum it has reach the max of 80,000 copies. replace the drum then clear the counter. just clearing the counter will not be good the machine knows when the counter is clear it has a new drum and will adjust High voltages accordingly if the old drum is in there then you get code and image problems

When we are trying to scan documents we get a message that says, "Please replace your PC drum"


Simply replace the pc drum.If you do not want to then do this,Press utility/counter buttonpress detailsnow press stop,0,0 stop,0,1 its the code to get into service modewhen you are in service mode press counter,in counter menu press parts life counter, select it and press "c" to clear its counter.clear all the counters like maintenance counter, life counter etc.after clearing restart the machine and this message will be gone.If you cannot do this then don't worry this message will not affect the print quality or even the machine.

Perform the following procedure to enter the simulation mode.

Usual "reset" codes:

14 - Trouble cancel (except for U2)
16 - U2 trouble cancel
20 - 01 Maintenance counter clear
24 -01 Jam total counter clear
02 Trouble memory clear
04 SPF counter clear
06 Paper feed counter clear
07 Drum counter clear
08 Copy counter clear
09 Printer counter clear
13 Scanner counter clear
14 SPF jam total counter clear
42 01 Developing counter clear
There are codes and subcodes.
example if yiu want to clear the maintenance counter , you have to enter simulation mode and then enter 20 / Copy key /01 /copy key.

Need to reset the drum counter on the AL 1740 sharp while changing to a used drum


Entering in the simulation mode:press Clear - Interrupt - 0 - Interrupt -Main code - Start -Subcode - Start.
When the clear all key is pressed the simulation mode is cancelled.When the interrupt key is pressed,the proces is interrupted and the screen returns to the subcode entering display.After cancelling the simulation mode be sure to turn OFF/ON the power and check the operation.
Main code 20 subcode 1 =Maintenance counter clear.
Main code 21 subcode 1 =Maintenance cycle settimg
subcode 2 =Mini maintenance cycle setting.

Put in newer fuser unit but machine still says to replace


If you want to clear the fuser message you have to be sure you replaced the fuser web. Then go to 25 => counter clear(items 13)=> Clear fuser counter or 36=>counter clear(items 8)=>Clear fuser counter.

Replacement of the Photo Conductor Unit
1. Select Tech. Rep. Mode → [Counter] → [Special Parts Counter] → [PC Life].
2. Press the Clear key to clear the counter value.
3. Turn OFF the main power switch.
NOTE
• Clear the PC Life counter before removing the IU.
• After clearing the PC Life counter, be sure to turn OFF the main power switch.
4. Open the Right Door.
5. Remove the IU. Carefully pull on the two green handles
6. Remove four screws (silver) on the sides and disassemble the Photo Conductor from the Developing Unit.
7. Replace the Photo Conductor Unit
8. To reinstall, reverse the order of
removal.
NOTE
• Replace the Toner Filter (Developing
Unit) with a new one at the same
time.
