Question about GE 24 in. GSD4320Z Built-in Dishwasher
I hav an Americana / GE dishwasher, only one and a half years old. the dishwasher is not draining. When I turn the selection knob on the front to wash, is begins filling with water again. But, the cycle is not actually working. I removed the drain hose from the disposal unit and allowed the really really nasty collection of water to drain out. I have a feeling that the hose connection to the washer is clogged. Is this possible. If so, should I remove the hose from the connection at the dishwasher and clean the hose or could it be something else.

I had this problem. I unplugged the dishwasher for five minutes to reset it and when I turned it back on it drained. I don't know if this will fix the problem permanently but it did allow it to drain.

Could be you have a clogged in the drain line. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. You should remove this line and clear it form any debris in the hose or the hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. Good luck!
