Question about Protron PLTV-32 Television
I've had a Protron 26" LCD for a few years now, and for a couple months there
have been black spots on it. They are semi-see through, and are static
(there all the time, same place). Its kind of like what happens when
you push down on an LCD screen, but nothing has or is pressing down on
it. I have a picture at the following showing what I mean:

Does it work at all or shut off before starting to play?
do you have a cable company? who?
what state are you in
and do you want to sell the tv?

if you look at the power supply board you will see an aluminum plate remove the four screws and 9 out of 10 times it is a diode on the board that has gone out. go to radio shack and for 83 cents you can buy one the same size. I personally have tried all the diodes that they sell and all of them that are the same size physically will work. I have three of these tv's and all of them were the same problem. I replaced the diode in each with one of each of the same physical size sold at radioshack and they have been working like new since.
