SOURCE: label stuck under typewriter platen/roller of Adler Royal

Roll a new piece of paper the best you can. Dribble a little paint thinner on the paper, letting it run down under the roller. The thinner will disolve the adhesive on the label. After a couple minutes, you should be able to roll out the paper and the laber with no problem.

SOURCE: carriage lock on adler typewriter

Turn the T/W off, slide the carrier to the R., look for debris in the carrier area. Spray some WD40 on the silver shaft that the carrier slides on.
Move the carrier back and forth to be sure tghere isn't a bind or hitting something.

Why does my Adler SE 1000 CD typewriter produce the letters: "J", "U" and "N", when I type the letters "I", "K" and "M"?

first check the ball for broken tooth on the bottom inside, try another ball, second there is a panel on the bottom, remove, you will see little chrome slides about in the middle, that move in and out. brush on some alcohol (rubbing) to make sure they slide free. If this does not help needs further and deeper repairs. Good machine but old. I still have some elements (balls) for these

If the motor makes any noise at all when you turn it on, the belt is probably broken.

Perhaps you have the R. margin set at that point. Try resetting it at the R. end.
