Freezer door does'nt shut all the way

If you notice one side of your Maytag side-by-side refrigerator is significantly higher than the other, you might want to raise or lower one of the doors. The refrigerator door is configured at the factory to be slightly higher than the freezer door. The weight of items on the door shelves sometimes cause the doors to sag slightly inward. Making a small adjustment to the freezer door leveling screws will correct minor amounts of sagging.
Things You'll Need3/8-inch hex head screwdriver 1
Position the refrigerator in the place you plan to keep it, and make sure the refrigerator is level front to back and side to side with a spirit level.

  • 2 Remove the base grille, located below the doors, by pulling from the sides. The leveling screws will be visible when the grille is removed.

    SWITCHING THE DOOR HINGE

if you open the door and look to the opposite side you will see to white pieces, take the screws out and they will come out, do the same with the hinges and once the screws are off the hinges lift the door open and out, switch the hinges and the white pieces. Door is now reversed. Good Luck Tim

Can you buy replacement doors for side by side Maytag refrigerators. The left side with the water/ice dispenser?

You can buy spare parts for refrigerators. Download a manual from the Maytag web site and look up the part number. Then, search for appliance parts dealers. They can order the door you need.

It would be cheaper to order just the piece you need for the door you have. A complete door will probably cost as much as a new refrigerator.

I have the maytag side-by-side model MZD2725GRW.The actuator pad sticks and water and ice will not stop unless the door is opened.Where can i get the part to fix this?

Call Maytag Direct for parts. Give them the model number. Alternatively, look up a local appliance supply store and visit them with your information. Many times they have suppliers if Maytag no longer makes the parts.
