what is the status of print job in the queue? whether it is showing printing or no status in the windows. if the status is printing you delete all the print jobs and switch off and on .then try print something. if no status is there in the windows then you check whether the printer is off line .try make it online by right click on the printer icon then click on the use printer online.
do the print head alignment... to do this..first switch OFF the printer and then load paper, press the Pause button while switching ON the printer.. the printer will then print the instruction for you to align the print head. Just follow the instruction and select the best printed line.
If when you print text or line, and you notice there is some part missing, this show that you print head have broken pins. If this happen, you will have to replace the print head.
hello lblb45. Under control panel - printers and faxes - doble click on your HP printer and you will see the status of the printer (either printer offline, out of ink, or out of paper, etc. Click on printer option on the top and unselect the "Use Printer Offline" option. That usually happens because the print spooler service looses connection to the printer at some point. Did you try with another USB cable or reinstall the drivers? I hope this helps.
After few head cleaning, ink counter running low, so ink ligh (red) flashing. Then ink counter runing out, so the light stayed on. After replacing both of ink, red light stayed on, because the compatible ink (chip) not recognized by printer. Check epson status monitor. Use original ink or refill and reset ink level counter.
Driver could be corrupt. Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
On another posting of a similar problem, I proposed this solution:
In some instances, the PC switches off a USB port. You may have to un-check "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." This is in your Device Manager/Universal Serial Bus Controllers/USB Root Hub.
Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turn up or should you need further information.
Good luck and kind regards.
