Question about Cameras
I dropped the camera and the lens "hood" popped off and with it the 4 "leaves" that comprise the lens "cover" when the unit is closed. How can I get "dismantle" / rebuild instructions?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

There is no camera reset for this model, what you are seeing is a generic stuck lens error message. If your camera is less than a year old, try and get it repaired under warranty first.
Your lens needs to be cleaned, repaired or replaced. There are online places that will do it for a decent price and there are others that overcharge by way too much.
I know, because I own one that charges a reasonable price to do the repair! (Google 'darntoothysam') $75 is all it takes to install a new lens for you; just let us know if we can help!

What you are seeing is just an error message, starting your camera again won't do anything unfortunately.
You need to replace the lens, we have your lens repair available on our site for about $75! If we can help please let us know.
