How do I repair Hoover Windtunnel floor/carpet switch? Brush will not turn but belt is not broken. I believe setting was hard floors and son forced the switch when the vaccuum was running.

The lever that switches from carpet to hard floors may be broken if it was forced, remove the cover to gain access. Replace both belts too. They may be stretched or worn even though they look good.

On concrete floors that had linoleum flooring how much of the adhesive must be scraped off???

not sure on your project but if you are going to paint it you will want it as clean as possible. (all of it needs to come off). if you are going to relay some type of linoleum or carpet you just need to remove any loose or that will come up easy. you dont want any hump or globs that will poke through the new product.

Can I paint over a previously painted concrete floor that was sealed with a polyurethane type product?

you did not provide info on the type of the paint and what surface it will be used on - there is difference between the floor, desk, wall and car body... all are flat surface but adhesion and work of the paint differs.

depending on the pre-existing paint, but you need always to "key-in" using 120 grit paper or 150 grit screen.

if paints are of same type, then paint in - if these are two different paints, you need to strip or isolate old paint, and then use new paint.

I painted a section of my garage floor with a cup of paint 1/4c oil base acrylic mixed with 3/4 c water base latex...will it ever dry thoroughly? it is drying slowly and is really sticky. will I just have...

did you ever try to mix water with oil? what was the result? are you sure that you can cross the street without adult holding your hand?

unfortunately you need to remove all that paint, just drop few shovels of fine sand over, and scrape it... sand will adhere to the tp surface of the pain and will allow you to scrape it. after you scrape it off, use any degreaser or similar product to wash reminder off, leave it for few weeks to dry through and then in small patch try if it would accept latex pain, roll it very, very thinly and leave overnight, if it is dry (solid dry) after 24hrs and do not peel off, you can then use this paint on the rest of your garage floor.

now, i would advice strongly against painting garage floor with any paint except concrete paint (they are usually water based with strongly alcalic ph), and after that use concrete seal. this should give you long lasting surface, sealed from oils, dust, water and whatever contaminant you can imagine in the garage.

Hi guys, my 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan get a code C2204 ( Dynamic Internal Sensor) and I want to change the sensor, Can any one tell where is it located? Any help is appriciated. Thank u

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable from its battery post.
  2. Remove the instrument panel center stack console. See: Body and Frame\Interior Moulding / Trim\Dashboard / Instrument Panel\Service and Repair\Instrument Panel Bin - Removal

  1. Roll back the front floor carpet from under the instrument panel toward the rear of the vehicle for access to components. See: Body and Frame\Interior Moulding / Trim\Carpet\Service and Repair\Carpet - Removal
  2. Remove the fasteners (2), then instrument panel center support brackets (2). There is one bracket on each side of tunnel structure.

asetech74_0.jpg 5. Disengage the right intermediate floor distribution duct (2) from the stud located on the floor support (3) and move it aside as necessary to access the dynamics sensor.

  1. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (3) at the dynamics sensor (2).
  2. Remove the screws (1) mounting the dynamics sensor to the mounting bracket on the floor pan tunnel (4).
  3. Remove the dynamics sensor (2).

Hope this helps....

1992 bayhawk 190v floors were soft. i have removed carpet and replaced the worst area's and laid cloth and resin on the floor. Now would like a self leveling product and or bed liner that i can spray my...

I dont know know of a leveling product it is supposed to be made level when the fiberglass work that u allready did was done. However a spray in bedliner would work and you would be able to get it at any local automotive paint store. However i highly suggest you dont do that due to the fact that spray in bedliner is extremly heavy. Therefore putting a strain on the boat with all the extra weight along with the glass work you did, and maybe affecting the floating characteristics of your boat.

Ihave a 2008 jeep wrangler unlimited and under passenger side floormat it keeps getting wet,and there is a whole bunch of silicon beeds on floor any one else having this problem,if so can you help or let...

I have the same problem with an 08 Rubicon, but on the driver's side. The appearent issue is a gap or seperation at the top of the firewall. The water leaks down the inside of the firewall, saturating the padding under the carpet. Typically the top of the floor map remains dry and the Jeep smells musty. IMHO, this will eventually lead to a rust out of the floorboards.

As for solution, my first line of defense was to return it to the dealer who put some sealent over the seperation. Two months later (I am taking it back in tomorrow) its leaking again. Either they didnt get the gap completely covered (its been a dry summer) or the sealent failed.

My second line of defense is to remove all the carpet from the inside of the jeep and Herculine the entire tub.

Hope this helps!
