Exactly the same problem, pump runs as soon as machine is switched on and will run even with the door open.

Tilting the machine back on itself seems to have cured it. Thanks.

I had the same problem. Been looking for an answer online for past 3 hours. Read your post and did what you said by tipping back and it worked!!! Can't thank you enough.

Tilting it back worked a treat! Do be prepared for more water on the floor when performing this manoeuvre though. Thank you for the decidedly top tip.

Yes tipping the unit on its back at 45 angle for a few minutes worked. However, when the dishwasher was pushed back under the surface the problem re occured. We solved this by altering the feet at the back so that it was just slightly lower at the back and it works fine again. Excellent advice on this page. Has definately saved us a call out fee.

Pull dishwasher out, tip it back on itself raising the front about three inches to allow any water in the overflow to drain out. put dishwasher back in place and it'll work fine. Worked for me.

I have to open and close the door several times to reset the timer wheel for a new cycle. cycle light

The timer works like a clock if you like. The cycle starts at 12:00 finishes around 11:55. When you open the door, the timer advances to the 12:00 position resetting itself to the start of a new cycle. The door has to be open for about 12 seconds. Check on the left side door hinge bracket and see how it plays on the door switch. old doors on the SR24's had an issue of the hinge screw coming loose which triggered the switch too soon. You should be able to rest the door against the tank without the maching running. The switch should close as the door engages the latch.

Stays in wash cycle

Solution found in a defective SPDT 'Heater ON' switch which had burnt out, thereby causing an 'open' to pump solenoid, fill valve, and heater. Temporarily bypassing the switch confirms the solution. Buy either the whole switch panel (3 switches) from parts dealer or find a source for CW Industries part GRS2012-13.

Hotpoint Dryer Heater stays on when door is opened

Strange. Heaters usually shut down with the spinning drum when door is open. If you check the schematic for unit you can check to see if in fact this is correct operation. Attached site usually has schematics for appliances. You might want to check. Search Over 2 1 Million Appliance Parts

Soon as i set cycle and swich on door light flashes open

hi,
The cycle doesn't advance
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Thanks for your question.

Pump continuing to run -Asko D3100

Micro switch was actually faulty, moisture had entered the switch and caused internal tracking and shorting out the micro switch ,making the pump run continually as it thought it was still in flood mode.
Flood appears to have been caused by a pin hole in the water fill hose in the base of the dishwasher, causing water to spray on the micro switch and eventually biuld up in the base of the machine.
