Question about Creative Labs ZEN Vision:M Digital Media Player
Had the Zen for a month or so. of course it would crap out just after 30 days. turned it on yesterday and it went straight to recovery mode. didn't have anything major on it so I went through each of the four steps offered. Downloaded the newest firmware update, loaded it on my machine, but the machine won't recognize the Zen. I've tried different versions of Windows Media, multiple firmware attempts, all the reset options that I can think of, and it still isn't recognized by the computer and it reboots/resets each time into recovery mode. I don't get it.
Try this: My computer --> Control Panel --> Portable Media Devices Is the Zen showing up? If not, your Zen has a bad motherboard and you will need to take it to a technician to have it replaced, or find a motherboard and do the replacement yourself.
