I've got a Blitzz Router and I'm trying to supply broadband internet to 4 college students living in one house. 3 of them have wireless and I've got the modem and the router hooked up next to desktop. I'm using an ethernet cord to hook up the modem to the router and the desktop into the router. I no longer have the software for this rounter and the girls with wireless are able to connect to the internet. The desktop has a blitzz screen which pops up asks for a password and then wants to "dial " for the connection... HELP! Please...

Re: Blitzz BWA611 Router
A router shouldnt need to dial for a connection, go to open your internet browser and go to tools, then internet options, then click connections tab and select never dial a connection so as to stop internet explorer looking for a modem connection

Unfortunately in order to get back your e-mail for your broadband account you are going to need to contact which ever ISP you are using. They will assist you with recovering your information so you can get your connection back. Also you will need to purchase a new router, if you need help configuring the router just reply to in this topic with what type of router you are using and I will gladly help you get this up and running.
If that doesn't work, the reset button will clear the stored login information and reset your router to factory default. Make sure you hold that button for about 15-20 seconds before you release it. After you did this, you can access your router again via the default IP address of 192.168.1.1
The default username and password for your Blitzz router are both "admin".
Don't forget that all your personal settings will be erased as well (wireless security, port forwarding etc.
-- who is your internet service provider -- what is the operating system of your computer? -- is this working fine before or is this a brand new router
you may try this and see if this help solve your problem. make sure your computer is directly connected to the router
Step 1: Shutdown the computer. Step 2: reset the router while power on then Unplug the router’s power cable. Step 3: Unplug the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for 30 seconds. Step 4: Plug in the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for its lights to appear stable. Step 5: Plug in the router's power cable once the modem’s lights appear stable. Step 6: Power on the computer on and configure the router settings Step 7: test the Internet connection.
if this still didnot work, upgrade the firmware of your router
configuring the router settings will depends who is your provider. if your isp is dsl you need to configure your ISP username and password on the router. if your router is a cable no need to change any settings on the router. it should automatically work
if you are still having trouble configuring your device, try to call supportrix and use supportcall as your promo code for 1 free technical support.
Ah, you can no longer use the modem or the Blitzz screen to connect to your Internet connection. You'll need to patch another Ethernet cord from the router to your Ethernet port on your computer and it should automatically connect.
If you still get prompted to dial, open up Internet Explorer and ignore any prompts to dial and then click Tools, then Internet Options, then click the Connections tab at the top, then click the selection to Never Dial a Connection. Confirm your choice by clicking OK and then try browsing the Internet like usual.
