Question about Samsung ML 1210 Laser Printer
My computer recognizes my ML-1210 but, when I try to print, the system tray icon says that the document is being sent to the printer but nothing prints. Usually, the ML-1210 will warm up as though trying to print but the paper does not feed and nothing is printed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, updated the driver, and cleared and restarted the print spooler in Control Panel, Admin. No help. I am able to printo to my HP printer (manual switch from the parallel port), so I do not think it is a computer problem.
If both printers are connected through a parallel switch, be advised that changes on the switch do not take effect until the computer is restarted. Those boxes worked fine under DOS, but Windows does not support them. Connect the Samsung printer to the USB port and make sure you use a good quality cable and not those thin and cheap cables.
