noise in an electric fan is cause by a worn out boshing /bearing and shafting of the rotor and motor this happens when we do not lubricate this part of the electric fan .lubrication must be done atleast trice a tear .replace this parts and the noise will be eliminated...bring your e fan to a service center/repair shop have the bearings replace..

I have a Lowes Utilitech FE50-F1 fan. I knocked the fan over and the blade cut off the capacitor from the fan shroud. I replaced the capacitor and the fan will still not turn on. I have long ago replaced...

The capacitor is used to set fan speed and rotation direction and if it shorted because of the fall, a motor winding may now be open.
It should be possible to verify this with a multimeter to check for winding continuity.

WIRING DIAGRAM FOR A DAYTON EXH. FAN FOR A GREENHOUSE. tHE FAN GOES TO A THERMOSTAT THEN TO ELECTEICAL BOX

So far, I cannot locate a wiring diagram for an installation. However, this is a single phase "shaded pole" motor.

For a single speed, shaded pole motor, there are only two power wires. For a dual speed motor, a third wire provides a second speed. One wire will be one side of the motor coil(s)...connected to the white power wire. The other wires are the opposite side of one or two motor coils, connected to the black power wire or through a thermostat. A thermostat is simply a temperature operated switch. An additional wire may (should) be a green "grounding" wire.

Need a wiring diagram for 3 speed patton floor fan

A three way switch has 3 terminals, these for floor fans operate by a rotary switch but can be adapted to use any 120V Rotary toggle or rocker type switch. technically your compartment (or room provided will determine which to use). I'd suggest you replace it with one like the one that no longer works. The one good thing about fans the direction they rotate in is already determined, and with a/c current it will work even if you connect it up wrong! If it work's then fine don't over think it

Hot air through floor in 99 Suburban when blower is switched off

I the short answer is yes. The truck has a flow-thru vent feature as does most GM products. When the fan switch is off the outside air would flow into the truck.
I thought you could still direct the air by way of the control panel, but by the wiring diagram it looks like everything is disabled when the fan switch is in the off position.

In that particular model, there is a small thermo fuse connecting the white wire and the yellow wire(there are 2 yellow wires coming from the capacitor). It's hidden in the coil so you can just cut the wick in that area an pull those two wires and you are going to see the fuse(small square shape one).
