What is a 5e code on the Samsung dishwasher mean ?

According to Samsung it is a drain error. Best advice from Samsung is: Check whether the drain hose is clogged or folded. If the problem continues, close the water supply valve, and then contact an authorized Samsung service center.

My drain hose was not clogged or folded and the error code would go away at best for a day of so. Finally, it would not go away at all. My solution was to simply go to e-bay and for $27 had a new pump shipped to me. Less than 15 minutes to change out and no problem since.

Be aware that the new pump may make noise for the first few runs, but this goes away. I figure the pump just needed to run in for a bit.

Pump is on bottom. Remove and invert dishwasher. Remove screws holding bottom plastic cover and pump is right there. Unhook the wire harness to the sensor in the plastic cover. Remove the wires to the pump (two different wires, I would make a note of where each color went). Turn the pump about a quarter turn to the left and it comes right off. Put the new pump in the same position as the pump was when removed. Push in and turn to the right until it locks in place. Replace wires to pump and the plastic cover. Screw plastic cover in place, turn the dishwasher back upright and reinstall. Once in place and all plumbing and electrical connections reconnected it should work without a hitch.

Frigidaire Affinity Front Load Washer wont drain.

If your pump had something in it, it wouldn't have had to clog it, but rather just stopped the internal spinning. My coworker removed a dollar bill from his water pump, and it fixed the problem he was having (same as you've described) and the water pump worked well after it was re-installed.
Worst case scenario, you reinstall it and it doesn't drain and you spend 40 or 50 bucks online for the part. I would reinstall and see if it works. I'd bet on it.

It sounds like your Drain pump has either become clogged, or has burned out.
  1. First, disconnect the power to the machine.
  2. The drain pump is located at the bottom of the machine. You will have to remove the panel to access the drain pump, or you can access the drain pump from the bottom of the machine after you have removed the water from inside the machine.
  3. The drain pump has 2 hoses connected to it, and a wiring harness.
  4. Disconnect the hoses and wiring harness and remove the drain pump.
  5. Check the impeller inside the drain pump for coins, socks, etc. and clean it out if you can. Make sure it turns with ease, and isn't worn out, or rocking back in forth. If it is worn out, replace the drain pump.
  6. If after clearing the drain pump and reassembling, and the machine still fails to drain, replace the drain pump.

How to replace a water pump on a 2004 dodge cummins motor, 3500 4x4 dulley

Replacing the water pump on my 2004 5.9 cummins 1ton Dually was easy,Disconnect neg. batt. cables, drain coolant, released serpentine belt tensioner with 1/2" drive ratchet and while in released position slipped belt from ac compressor, removed two bolts that held alt. to brackets, slipped alt. to one side then removed upper alt. brkt., removed two bolts on water pump, made sure mounting surface of block was clean and took new water pump put a small amt. of rtv sealant all around groove that rubber seals goes in,install rubber seal, "be sure and wipe off excess sealant then re-install water pump tightening carefully, reinstall alt. upper brkt., then alt. put belt back in correct position but be sure and leave it off of ac pulley so you can reinstall it on ac when you are underneath the eng. area while releasing tension on belt tensioner. Fill with proper coolant type till you have rad. full. Reinstall cables, start eng and with cap off you will have to add coolant as eng. warms up till it has air out of system. Once rad. is full install cap then refill coolant recovery bottle to full level, Keep and eye on it for leaks for a couple of days and "Happy Driving" Don't think I left anything out :)

I get an F02 message. Weird noise when absorbing water. Takes too long absorbing water and then goes to F-02 message.

Hi, F02 is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a SUDS error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

  1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
  2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
  3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.
To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

  1. Unplug the washer while servicing inside the unit.
  2. Remove the lower kick panel under the door by removing the three 7mm screws under the bottom edge of the panel.HINT: Use a couple of blocks of wood to prop up the front feet of the washer to gain better access to the screws.Once the screws are removed the panel should drop down, and then pull off.If the panel becomes stuck, a slight tap on either side will dislodge it.
  3. Locate the drain pump.It will be located directly under the wash tub (it is the only pump this washer has).
  4. There is an access removal cover on the pump that can be removed to clean out the trap.BEFORE doing this, it is strongly recommended that you remove all residual water from the wash tub & drain line or you will have about a gallon or so inside your washer and on the floor to clean up.
  5. Here?s a helpful way of quickly removing the residual water. If you own a wet/dry shop vac, remove the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum with the shop vac. This will empty the wash tub, pump and drain lines. If you don?t own a shop vac, grab a bunch of old towels and open the access on the pump slowly so that it comes out at a trickle.Allow the towels to soak up the majority of the water.Close the access and stop the water if you need to get additional towels.
  6. Open the pump access and remove once you have all the water drained.Check the drain pump for foreign objects and debris.Check the pump impeller and make sure there?s nothing caught in it.Items as small as toothpicks or cotton swabs have been known to stop this pump from working.
  7. Clean out the pump thoroughly and reinstall the access cover.Make sure the cover is snug, but do not over tighten.
  8. Place the drain hose back in the standpipe (IMPORTANT ? DO NOT FORGET!).
  9. With the bottom panel still off, plug the washer back in and select the following on the operator console ? DRAIN SPIN, NO SPIN, and then press any button under OPTIONS 4 times (it must be the same button).?C00? will show on the console display as the washer begins diagnostics mode.
  10. Check the drain pump for leaks as the washer fills. The pump is gravity filled and will hold water even it is not pumping.Allow washer to run through diagnostics until it begins the wash tub tumble cycle.
  11. At this point, you can stop the diagnostics procedure by pressing PAUSE/CANCEL 2 times. The drain pump energizes and the washer will begin to drain.
  12. If the drain pump works normal and there are no leaks detected, reinstall the bottom panel and tighten screws.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump.............

Our whirlpool fridge keeps filling up with water on the shelves and drawers

Remove the food from the freezer so the back panel can be removed . If you have an icemaker , it will have to be removed also (3 ) screws . Remove the screws holding the back panel and remove . Without model number . can't tell you if the freezer bottom has to be removed also . Once the rear freezer panel is removed , defrost the pan below the coils until you see the drain hole . Then , keep defrosting the drain hole until the water flows thru . Hot water could help to defrost the hole . Once defrosted , get an ALUMINUM fence tie or ALUMINUM wire (14-16 guage) about 9" long , completely stripped of insulation , and insert one end into the drain hole as far as possible without much force . Wrap the other end 1 to 11/2 turns around the black rod (heater) above the drain hole . Cut off excess wire . When the fridge goes into defrost , the heat from the heater , will transfer thru the aluminum wire and keep the drain hole from freezing up again . After this is done , reinstall all that was removed , then the frozen food .

Danby add water cycle, water being pumped out.

The pump acts as the drain valve. It sounds like the pump check valve is not working and you will probably have to replace the entire pump. The pump is fairly easy to replace.

Verify that the outlet from the pump goes directly to the drain hose. If so, the only other thing you can do is remove the drain pump and disassemble it to see if something is stuck in there or something. However, this is a more advanced procedure so I would recommend against it. Replace the pump.
